Located on top of the cliff in the residential area where the locals reside. Our stay was very pleasant, rooms very comfortable. Hospitality was excellent. Daily breakfast was very good. Had dinner there one evening. Food was very good.

Amazing meal at the restaurant of this hotel. Easily one of the best while on a walking holiday through the Rhein. Discovered by chance just a short hop from the Rheinburgenweg trail. Super nice schnitzel, and lovely fresh spätzle. Seasonal specials. Some lovely rich Riesling lieblich that had the perfect acid-sweet balance.

A small hotel uphill in St. Goar. If you want to eat at the river Rhein you must afterwards climb uphill to the hotel. The hotel itself has an excellent kitchen. As we were there it was season for asparagus. ||Nice breakfast buffet.||Great price-quality ratio.

The owners left the hotel and locked me in. At 6:30 in the morning I had to leave jumping out of the window (about 2m jump). Take aside a fire code violation it is simply a thing that can ruin your day. I got problems from my supervisor for being late.But leave that aside... No cellphone reception, wifi working 25%of the time and with an archaic speed, rooms old and tiny, no parking next to the hotel. Size and type of the pillows and the comforter on the bed changing daily. It's a surprise. You never know whit what size or type of pillow you will sleep that night.One thing in its defence is that despite old interior it does not stink. Yup... that's about all good to say.
