Spontaneously out for a week in Siegerland. 2 hour drive, including one hour overland. Easy to get to via Google and there is the Kilbe farm.An island of friendliness and hospitality. Ms. Becker and her little helpers are soooo nice! The rooms are newly furnished, clean and comfortable. Hof Kilbe is also ideal for families with children. A playground, seeing cows in the pasture or being milked, collecting eggs, feeding goats and large rabbits, or going to the goats.Would you also like a little ride with 1 HP? Or grill potatoes or sausages on the fire pit. The Hofkatzen reception committee didn't take long to arrive on the first evening. Breakfast, for example, can be booked optionally, but the rooms are also equipped with a kitchen. In addition, the Rothaar (foot) mountains are ideal for hiking all year round. Whether it's the Wisentpfad, the sculpture path, the Rothaarsteig or the Rothaarspur, the area is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts, including those on two wheels. There is a lot of area there, so there is plenty of opportunity to relax.Or a trip to Bad Berleburg to visit the castle. Then visit the “Cafè Anno Zummal” or the Goetheplatz café around the corner and have a good time with coffee and cake. Here too, the operators are really friendly and nice! A feast for the mind and soul!I have been to completely different places in this part of North Rhine-Westphalia at completely different times over the last two decades, and I can say that the Westphalians are just as open and friendly as we are said to be from Rhinelanders, I think, just grown up.I like Siegerland and Hof Kilbe, and will come back more often.

An idyllic farm on the edge of the forest to relax and enjoy the silence. With X hiking trails and excursion destinations. With a large play area for the little ones, the opportunity to ride horses and get to know the work on a farm. It wasn't the first time we were there, but it wasn't the last time either.

We stayed in apartment 11 with 6 people for a weekend. It was really nice, the apartment was super clean. Host friendly and always helpful with questions. There was a lot for the children to discover. Our highlight was pony riding and the birth of a calf. Breakfast was just as great, great selection and very filling. All in all, it was a great few days :) would be happy to do it again

We stayed as a family (2 adults, 2 small children) at the Kilbe farm and there in apartment 1.About the apartment: everything was clean, tidy, dishes/cutlery well stocked. To the farm: really great! There is a lot to see and you can look everywhere, take part and try things out if you ask.You can collect eggs from the chickens, pet the goats and rabbits or treat them to some vegetables. Help feed the cows or try milking yourself. There are also many cats who also like to be petted. You can also ride a pony and our son also rode on the tractor. It was really a great, exciting time.About the family: everyone is super nice, answers any curious questions about farm life and, above all, we were often able to look over Farmer Heinrich's shoulder or help out. :-)Thumbs up! Thank you for the great time at the Kilbe farm!

A paradise for children and therefore a relaxing holiday for parents too. There's no chance of getting bored because you can spend the whole day busy with the animals, on the playground, on the straw floor, or in the playroom. Very nice and courteous hosts, practically furnished room (beds and bathroom very comfortable), rich breakfast. We'd love to come back 😀!

I spent four nights in a single room at the Kilbe farm. My expectations were fully met and I felt very comfortable there. It's also nice that you can start hiking directly from the farm. Thank you for the nice break. I will gladly come again :-)

We were there for the second time this year in June and my son loved it again and wanted to go back straight away. A beautiful, very original farm with lots of cows, horses, chickens, cats and rabbits in the middle of nature. Our son was able to ride there and was even allowed to ride on the tractor, get eggs from the stable and watch the milking. Play equipment is also available. Since the farm is very quiet, the children can move around freely here. The bread roll service worked well and you can quickly get to the center of Bad Berleburg by car. Thank you for the wonderful time!

The room was as described and clean. The yard is ok too. However, the "service" was non-existent. We asked 4 times when we could help get the eggs out of the coop and never got a clear answer. Waited in front of the stable for over an hour in the rain without anyone coming. Pony riding was also not possible as advertised. The old lady at the reception often seemed confused and couldn't answer simple questions like where to find a restaurant nearby. There was no WiFi either. When we said goodbye, we weren't even told goodbye, have a good trip or anything else. I understand that November is not the farm season, but if you absolutely don't want to take care of guests, then you can't offer it and take money for it. It's a shame, that's not how we imagined our farm holiday would be.

The farm is very remote, so the children can move around freely. There are many pedal cars, unicycles, skateboards, bicycles, so there is a lot to choose from. You can look in everywhere, there is a beautiful hayloft. In the evenings we were always there to help with the milking and were also able to help. There are 3 ponies, 2 of which are suitable for children, one is only given to advanced riders. We were able to easily take 2 ponies for an hour ride every day.The only thing I found unfortunate was that you couldn't collect eggs so easily. To do this, you had to time the exact time when the eggs were collected.Otherwise a wonderful holiday including relaxation for the adults.

It's a farm holiday as you imagine it. The children can and may be CHILDREN. The farm is simply beautiful. The children can discover something new every day. We'll see each other again next year.
