Loved this campsite. Real old fashioned and quaint, in a leafy green countryside area.Piping hot showers with super water pressure. They have a washing machine and dryer available for a small cost. Washing up facilities available. Toilet and grey water points available. There are taps and electric points at each pitch. Free WiFi available. You can order fresh bread rolls for breakfast. Point to note is that they do not have a hosepipe to fill up your motorhome's water tank, so take one with you. The taps do allow hoses to be connected.Reception was friendly and helpful and thankfully spoke Dutch because my German is minimal 🤣.It is a 10 minute bike ride into Bad Bentheim.I found this campsite relaxing and quiet with very few children and hardly any noise. If you want a campsite that has lots of facilities and entertainment, this is not the place. However if you just want to totally relax and be in nature, this is perfect 😉.

We booked this site on the understanding it was dog friendly, to be greeted as we drew up with 'make sure you walk your dogs off site'. Not a good start. The restaurant was closed the two days we were there.  …

We were greeted by a nice woman who acted like a good and accommodating host. Whilst pitching the tent we turned the radio on. It was 18:00 and the campsite was not busy at all. We were immediately approached by a man asking us to put the volume down, which we did. The very same man, the day after, and the day after that again, proceeded to drive his ridiculously noisy lawn mowing machine around, in the morning, and in the early afternoon, precisely at times when one might be sleeping or having a nap. This he did not do apologetically, but deliberately. He enjoyed driving it up to our tent, back and forth, round and round, disturbing people who were clearly concentrating on their reading or writing or enjoying the quiet. The grass hardly needed cutting. The man is a psycho, playing a territorial game, showing who is boss. He's got a chip on his shoulder the size of a small mountain. You can't run a holiday place if you resent your guests. And really it is none of your business if one is a cyclist and likes a beer and a smoke, so if you have a problem with it, keep it to yourself. Rude, ignorant, arrogant. Avoid at all costs.

This campsite is lovely , we visited twice in one month whilst travelling in Germany , the owners are friendly and accommodating , the pitches are large , the sanitary building is spotlessly clean and Covid safe as much as possible . We hope to visit again , if possible in the future .

Nice looking site, shame the lawnmower man (who it turns out is the owner) had to spoil our friendly welcome from reception. Such a rude and unfriendly man.
