Our one night stay gave us a bunch of enjoyment. The hotel, the rooms and the services are clean, cozy and absolutely attentive and friendly. The dining room is very nice and the 3-course surprise menu was just delicious and prepared with skill. |The breakfast is abundant and gives a good start for a travelling or a biking day.

What a truly splendid place in every possible way!The hotel exudes the coziness and welcoming atmosphere of one’s grandparents’ country estate, the rooms are tastefully decorated with quality antiques, the grounds are truly enchanting with ponds, hedges and wild flowers. The food at the restaurant is of very high quality being all locally sourced, the head waiter is the caring, obliging old school type and his waitress colleagues are attentive, friendly and genuinely pleasant and courteous. Most importantly, however, one is not being rushed through one’s meal.At breakfast one is spoilt for choice and rather than half-fainting upon presentation of the bill, one leaves very pleasantly surprised. For me as a frequent traveller around Western Europe, Het Ros van Twente rates absolutely in the top five places I have visited in the last ten years. Could not recommend it more highly and will certainly be back.10 out of 5 possible stars especially for the quality of the staff across all departments!

Fortunately, we ordered only coffee and apple pie - even that was bad. They seemed almost surprised to have visitors on a sunny Saturday around 11:30. I guess that's why the apple pie was not completely defrosted.
