We really enjoyed our time here. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. Hotel has great family rooms and gathering spaces, very practical with a lovely breakfast. Doldewirt was a nice surprise in comparison to other places we stayed nearby, also a very fair rate. Down the street is an amazing playground and a little lake for swimming is a 5 minute drive away.

Stayed here with my family in a comfortable 4 person room. The staff were really friendly making sure we had enough blankets, pillows and towels. We had really nice conversation w/ the owner during a nice German breakfast. Was nice to experience from all the different kinds of German breads and meats. Was a nice and home-style feel in the middle of Germany farmlands complete w/ a nice dog and actual deer heard from the early 1900's. Great Stay!

Was looking for a place to accommodate 6 people on the go. The Owner was so nice to accommodate us that we stayed an extra day. We came from the Denver Colorado and Denmark to visit the Neuschwanstein Castle. …

I loved staying here! The town is very small, so everything else was closed when we arrived except for this hotel/restaurant. But as we had just gotten through a hectic couple of days, this was exactly what we wanted. We ate leisurely in the restaurant downstairs and then stayed in really nice rooms for the low price we paid. Everything was clean and cozy and convenient. If you want to do other things in town, this may not be your best option. But if you want a good price for a cozy stay in the Bavarian mountains, this would hit the mark.

Pros:1) The hosts were really kind and soft spoken. They catered to our request of late checkin at 9 pm.2) Breakfast was good and plenty.3) Location is beautifulCons:1) The room was really dirty.. when we looked beneath the beds it was uncleaned with spider webs!2) The bedding had lots of hair in it, seemed like the bedding was not changed..3) Walls were paper thin, we could even hear the person in the adjoining room snoring!4) No dustbins anywhere, neither in the room nor in the floor anywhere. To dump our garbage we had to go to the guesthouse entrance!

The hotel is simple, not luxurious, and clean. Great food! It is perfect to stay with the whole family including your pet and it has parking on site. It is centrally located, not too far from Linderhof and Neuschwanstein. It is very close to Haslacher See, and to Feuersteinschlucht a nice hiking area. I would definitely recommend it. Excellent customer service and friendly staff. We had pleasant stay!

Simple local food that's reasonably priced and arrives quickly. Nothing fancy and nothing wrong with it either. Wash it down with a pint of local Helles pilsner. The place also has <20 rooms. Those are in need of refurbishment and some have a shared toilet and bathroom. If this doesn't bother you, Ludwig's castles are less than a hour drive away and so are German Alps. Locals like to spend hot afternoons in nearby lake.

We were very disappointed to stay in this hotel where we paid 152€ for one night and found a sub-optimal service with a) not-so-clean rooms, b) breakfast served all packed in a room (with another bigger left empty), c) owner asking us to fill in a paper during the breakfast.||We will carefully avoid it in the future.
