Everything was great, nice hospitality, nice room, good food and very familiar. We spent 3 nights hiking in Frankenried. Had our dog with us and thought it was great that we were offered the alternative in the dining room for breakfast (dogs are not allowed in a room with a buffet - which is known from all hotels and inns) we were very satisfied with everything

We booked two rooms and stayed 2 nights last week. What a gem of a town and place. The rooms were lovely and spacious and well appointed. However a heated towel rail would help in the colder months. …

Hospitality is very important here.As a multi-generational holiday, we stayed at the Hotel Landgasthof zum goldenen Schwanen for 3 nights. The hotel's location is quiet and ideal for day trips in the Allgäu region; the rooms are furnished in a modern country house style. The breakfast is sufficient and wishes are gladly implemented and the kitchen in the evening is really recommended. All in all it was a successful stay.

A magical inn embedded in the beautiful Allgäu landscape. The hostess and her staff are very friendly, warm and, above all, always concerned about the well-being of their guests. Our wishes were implemented as quickly as possible. The breakfast was very lovingly and deliciously prepared. The rolls are always fresh and the homemade jam is simply fantastic. The dinner was so delicious that many a 4-star chef can take a leaf out of it. Thanks again to the chef the food was wonderful. Our Chiemsee room was perfect, spacious, clean, the bed was not too soft and had a balcony. The chambermaids are also very hardworking and friendly. Always a friendly greeting and a kind word. The entire inn is beautifully decorated, traditional and modern aspects are very tastefully coordinated. I particularly liked the window decorations in the guest room. You can go hiking or cycling in the area. We have taken trips to different cities and are very enthusiastic about the landscape and history. We would love to come back.

Beautiful Bavarian inn with traditional dishes - schnitzel, of course - some of which are even inspired by Theodor Hierneis, King Ludwig II's chef. But there are also hamburgers and vegetarian dishes on the menu.We had a 3-course candlelight dinner with homemade liver spaetzle soup, an incredibly tender ox breast in horseradish sauce and a delicious espresso panna cotta.Everything was served by the extremely friendly landlady.Overnight guests can also look forward to excellent fresh baked goods and homemade jams at breakfast!

You don't need anything more, not a luxury hostel but top value for money. Clean, simple rooms, good country cuisine, large parking lot. I can recommend it 100%.

Traditional inn with guest rooms whose menu includes the classics of Bavarian cuisine; from schnitzel to Böfflamott. But burger fans and vegetarians are also considered. As part of an overnight stay, my wife and I had a three-course candlelight dinner, consisting of: liver spaetzle soup (apparently homemade, at least not over-salted canned goods), ox breast with horseradish sauce (wonderfully tender meat from a regional producer, only the vegetable garnish could have been a little more sophisticated may) and a delicious espresso panna cotta. We enjoyed everything very much and the service was courteous and friendly. The “Landgasthof Zum goldenen Schwanen” may be a little off the beaten path, but it’s worth a visit!
