The place was nice and clean and the wine was fine as well. However, we were very surprised and disappointed to learn that a 15 EUR charge was added to the price of the bottles bought because we wanted to taste the wine, which in our mind it very common. As far as we are concerned it's unusual to add a surcharge and we have been other places in Mosel and none of them have charged us with a fee of 15 EUR to taste their wines. Had we known prior to the wine tasting we could have decided whether or not it was worthwhile but we were not told about the 15 EUR charge. We don't consider it good practice but luckily there are many other places in Mosel.

High quality wines in the all range. Very nice, clean and modern winery. Proffessional winemaker, excellent service. This is not a winery like others thousands for million tourists.

Great location. When the weather is nice, you can sit on the terrace and have a view up to the vineyards and down to the Moselle. Here you can also enjoy the delicious Riesling wines indoors. The kitchen surprises you with a small snack. By the way, the quiche was very, very tasty. And the winemaker himself - a luminary. Johannes Schmitz talks about wine growing, the different soils on the Moselle and the art of making a delicious wine from the grapes in an expert and understandable way for laypeople. Well, you can also spend the night there very well.

Very rude response when asking for a wine tasting in conjunction with a bite to eat.He would only sell high-end wines and would not be there for entertainment.We then drove on.

After briefly visiting the trade fair, we wanted to experience the Rebenhof manufactory live. Johannes Schmitz is completely dedicated to Riesling. This can also be seen in the wines. In Germany you won't find a better wine in terms of quality or taste. Paired with a friendly and intelligent winemaker, your stay at the Riesling Manufactory is sure to be a taste experience. Anyone who is lucky enough to experience Johannes Schmitz at a wine tasting will not soon forget their stay.

Very competent winemaker with a beautifully located winery right at the foot of the Hochmosel Bridge. Anyone who is particularly interested in the locations of the Ürziger Würzgarten and its surroundings will find their favorite wines here. The range and price range always offers a suitable bottle, from beginners to connoisseurs. The expertise surrounding the history of viticulture on the Moselle is particularly worth a visit here, as you can gain many impressions of the region's history in addition to impressions of the wines.

Wine tasting was a great experience, even though we came spontaneously. Learned a lot of new things about wine growing and processing, enriched by interesting historical anecdotes. Very experienced winemaker. At the Rebenhof you can enjoy wine with a view of the Moselle.
