Our family stayed at Arenfels Castle with our kids. They were very excited to sleep in a castle. We loved the atmosphere, scenery, and nearby attractions. John was a fantastic host. He went above and beyond to help accommodate our needs. We stayed for 3 nights in the Garden Suite. We highly recommend this accommodation and only wish we stayed on a weekend so we could take a full tour.

We got married at Schloss Arenfels. It is obvious that they do weddings nearly every day, and more than one per day sometimes too - so if you're interested you might need to move quickly! The location is beautiful. There are so many opportunities to get wonderful photos and because some of our family is from the USA, they were excited to get to stay in/visit a real castle for the event. We booked an outdoor wedding and this even came with an indoor location in the case of bad weather. In the end we used this backup indoor location which was honestly just as beautiful as the outside location. It was great of the castle to have the backup location included in the package so we didn't have to worry about or organize anything extra. The rooms were really cool. We stayed in the Fuerstensuite which was a very big room and while it was maybe too big and fancy for us, it was still a fun experience to have for our wedding. Our family had other rooms in the castle and they all seemed to enjoy their time there as well. We were impressed that with such a large and such an old building, the heating was effective and it was really clean. The service was incredible. Before our wedding, we worked with a representative of the castle and they worked with us and our planner to make sure we understood what was possible and they were also very thorough to make sure that we would have all the equipment and space that was needed. She also arranged lunch on the day of for us. We were able to use the castle's tables, chairs, chair covers, plates and cutlery without any extra costs (if I recall correctly). There were staff members on hand to deal with microphones and speakers the entire day, as well as staff available to work the bar and also serve drinks at the tables. They were all wonderful and did a good job. The staff also cleaned up all of our decorations, which we thought we were going to have to do early the next morning ourselves, so we were really thankful that they took care of it for us.Once again, it was obvious that Schloss Arenfels is an extremely experienced place for weddings and we benefited hugely from that experience. In the end we are so happy we chose to work with them!

We had a wonderful stay at the castle with our two teenagers. The room was very spacious and comfortable. Great setting, very pretty and magical. Their wine is also delicious!

We had such a lovely stay in the Furstenzimmer (prince room) with a romantic view and friendly service. At the time (mid Aug 2024) there was some minor renovation happening on the grounds. Since it's a close run operation, be sure to check in at the right time! It's a great experience to stay in a castle, and this one has been made to be more comfortable than most I've stayed in.NOTE: photography for Private use requires permission and an additional charge.

We stayed at the castle on 11/2 and we were delighted! The staff are courteous and helpful. Breakfast in the wine cellar was great! We enjoyed the rooms and castle grounds very much and the view is amazing. When we are in the area we will definitely stay. The Nelsons

Wonderful Christmas market with stunning light effects and a great looking Christmas tree inside their stairways. (Must see!) My only complaint is to have a tip jar for the bathroom which is just outright stingy after paying entrance and a steep parking fee! Providing a clean toilet is not an extra optional service but should be expected. The attendant gave my wife a bit of a dirty look for not leaving money while she is pretty much just smoking one cigarette after another outside anyways 😂 But overall this is a 5 star attraction, especially during Christmas. It takes a lot of effort to maintain this place and the pricing is adequate otherwise.

Had the great opportunity to spend the night in the castle. It was an amazing experience and felt like we went back into medieval times. The view was fantastic and grounds were amazing. The room was modern, yet kept the ancient vibes of what a castle would look like back in the days.
