This time quite disappointing, unfortunately. The onion roast was quite tough and cooked through, even though it was ordered medium. We then got a schnitzel with fries as compensation and only had to pay for the schnitzel. My husband had the burger. Unfortunately, a bit loveless here too. No sauces, just a slice of tomato and cucumber. The meat was pretty tasteless.It's a real shame, we've had an excellent meal here.

I was with my girlfriend for dinner on Monday, we got there at 6:30 p.m. and were in the beer garden with 20 guests and 2 young cellars. First time at Alte Schiffspost and very excited, we ordered 6 glasses of wine and 1 salad with sweet potato skin, drinks arrived in good time but we have to wait until 8:30 p.m. for the food. It's nice and cool outside now, dark and no tea lights, so we rate the food on average 6/10, service 7/10, kitchen 0/10 because we've never experienced anything like it. We don't get an answer as to why we have to wait so long, RESPECT WITH GUESTS please!I wish you much success in the difficult times and to become better.

Nice environment. The room doesn't deserve a star. Old house that hasn't been renovated in ages. Our triple room was just creepy. The carpet was old, dirty and had cigarette holes in it. There was a water stain on the ceiling, cupboard hinges and a curtain were hanging behind. You can tolerate it for one night.

Waited almost 2 hours for a salad and then received it without any dressing. The bosses sit around and anyone who says the beer garden is well maintained should take a look at the flower boxes with weeds. Terrible.

Very long waiting times and staff overwhelmed at lunchtime. Allow some time. Location and ambience nice. A renovation wouldn't hurt inside.

I was a guest at the Alte Schiffspost from August 16th to September 2nd, but what I experienced there is something I have never experienced in the Bavarian Forest. I had booked an overnight stay with breakfast in a single room. I got a double room for €65 a night. Breakfast was the same every morning. No variety, out of 17 breakfast times I had hot coffee 5 times. The other times cold or lukewarm coffee. You had to ask for every item that was missing from breakfast. When I wanted something warm to eat on the first evening, I was asked if I had reserved a table. I replied "Sorry, I'm a hotel guest" then I could sit wherever I wanted. The furniture in the room was old and worn. One morning I heard from a service worker who had a few days off, "You're still here" I just thought she didn't say that. My conclusion for this holiday: “Unfortunately, a dip in the toilet”. If you find something else, it's better to move on and look for something better. I know for myself that it was the first and last time I was there. Ten horses won't get me there anymore.

Very pleasant! The food tasted very good. The service is super friendly. The prices are surprisingly cheap. The beer garden is rustically furnished. We'll be back!
