We were there as a family with 3 kids. 2 love horse back riding and the youngest one loves pony’s. There is a little bit of fun for each family member. The hosts are authentic and show with pride in every tour the beautiful region. Breakfast buffet had many different choices from bread to cereal. The pool is a highlight after horse back riding. Is absolutely non pretentious and perfect for young kids and pre-teens.

We spent a week in the Swallow's Nest during the fall break. You have to be aware that it is a family-run riding stable and not a 4 star hotel. The rooms are very clean and a lot of emphasis is placed on cleanliness and changing shoes between the stable and the house. The simple breakfast has something for everyone. The ponies and horses are well cared for and the animals are very well looked after. There will be a riding arrangement in the morning for up to 3 rides per day. Each rider's experience and wishes are taken into account. Mr. Kamm has a very good eye for riders and their horses. All family members are very friendly and try to make the guests as pleasant as possible.Mr. Kamm in particular fulfills every riding wish and is very committed to the rides, which deserves a lot of praise. You can take part in the rides, trotting or galloping for at least 90 minutes, riding in a sulky, walking or jogging, and you can rent ponies to lead, where the children ride with a guide and the adults go hiking at the same time. There is something for everyone in the family, even if you are not a horse lover. The landscape is also great for cycling or mountain biking. There are countless excursion destinations nearbyIt was a very nice vacation. Thank you!

We spent 7 nights on the Kamm family's farm and overall felt very comfortable. The landscape is simply beautiful and our older daughter had a lot of fun leading the pony and also taking care of “her” pony. My husband and she also enjoyed the sulky ride with Friedhelm. In our opinion, the prices for the activities with the horses as well as the prices for drinks in the guest room are absolutely fair.We had a family room with a balcony, which unfortunately we couldn't really use because of the wasps, but that's just how it is at this time of year. When I arrived, I found some corners a bit chaotic (various piles of paper on tables and the floor, shoes, helmets, etc. lying around in the hallway) - but I didn't notice that anymore on the second day. ("It's a no-brainer," we say...) And you also have to remember that a relatively large family lives and works there. It's not a hotel, but a equestrian farm that requires a lot of work and that's what it looks like in some corners. Our room was clean and tidy, the stable was clean, the horses seemed healthy and well cared for and the breakfast/dining room was clean - what more could you want?At no time did I have any concerns about letting my 4-year-old daughter play alone down in the yard and our baby was able to crawl freely in the room because all accessible sockets were well above her reach. The breakfast in the guest room is simple, but rich and balanced. Ingrid offered us very friendly and courteous service and made delicious coffee. We were also given boiled water every day to take to the room for our baby.We also did a few things in the wider area that were recommended to us by the family, e.g. visited the club-run outdoor pool in Rengershausen - small but nice and clean AND there is homemade pizza there that tastes delicious. This was very convenient for us because many restaurants are closed during lunchtime, which is of course less than ideal with children. There are also things to do nearby that are free, which is certainly nice for larger families; e.g. the wildlife park in Frankenberg and a large adventure playground in Medeberg. The four of us had a lovely and relaxing holiday and found all members of the Kamm family to be friendly, fond of children and helpful.

A family business that stopped at some point in the last millennium, but does everything with dedication to ensure that the children and therefore also the adults feel comfortable. But first things first...Location: There's nothing there. I really mean nothing. A playground nearby, a restaurant with variable opening times. That's it. Car or bike, mandatory! The farm: Admittedly, yes there is a lot to do. I could now work with carpenters, carpenters, bricklayers, master painters and the like anywhere. But it is an original. With rough edges, neither dirty nor unsafe, just older but with charm! Nothing is disgusting, some things are dusty. Welcome to a farm!😀The horses: A dream for the children, but also for the adults. Well guided by the landlord Friedhelm. Thank you!😀The equipment: A room, bed, shower and toilet. I would replace the tube TV or simply remove it.Rooms are also available with a balcony overlooking the orchard. Barbecue option with charcoal (you have to bring your own). Breakfast is rich. Drinks available at a fair price. Swimming pool available, but more of a gimmick than a must-have, but enough to cool off 😀Price: Phew, I mean there's nothing in the immediate walking distance. No supermarket, no drinks market, no inn. I found the rooms a little expensive. Just under €120 a night for a room that barely fits beds, a closet and a bathroom. Without much freedom of movement. But fortunately we are not supporting any corporation with this 😀And otherwise? We met a great family with love and dedication for this farm. Maybe a tip too many for some people, but it was nice for me. Maybe a little strange given some circumstances, but honest, warm and nice😀We'd love to come around again.

We enjoyed a very relaxed Pentecost holiday with the Kamm family. There was something for everyone. Guided pony tour for our youngest, family walks with sweet Mr. MINI, wonderful rides for our 15-year-old and an eventful sulky ride for mom. We stayed in a holiday apartment, very comfortable beds, everything was clean. Since the weather wasn't always great, we made extensive use of the swimming pool. The surroundings and landscape are beautiful, hiking trails are very well marked. The Kamm family welcomed us very nicely and we would be happy to come back again. Thanks for the great time!

The farm is in a catastrophic condition. There is a renovation backlog and repair backlog everywhere. Our room was dirty and full of cobwebs. The saddles were in poor condition and some of the leather on the straps was brittle. I doubt that this meets today's security standards. I didn't feel safe letting my child ride. Some of the horses were lame or only stood on three hooves and would still be ridden. Sometimes the animals were not treated well. We never experienced hospitality for a minute. We didn't feel welcome. Even when we had questions, we always had the feeling that we were just doing work. I rang the bell in the dining room at different times, but no one ever came. The nature in the area, the swimming pool in the basement and the view of the paddock from the balcony were positive. Conclusion: We cannot understand the many positive reviews. I don't expect a luxury hotel on a horse farm, but I expect cleanliness and friendliness. We definitely won't come back again.

We were on the farm with our granddaughter from May 19th to May 25th, 2024. After our arrival we were warmly welcomed and our accommodation was handed over to us without delay. It was absolutely clean and in order, so we felt comfortable straight away. Riding was always made possible for the granddaughter, even when there was a lot of crowds. The rides were, without exception, carried out by an accomplished and experienced Friedhelm Kamm. Once again, I would like to thank you very much for this. The little one was thrilled. The breakfast was plentiful. Every morning there are rolls, toast and pretzels, as well as various types of sausage, cheese, jam, honey, tomatoes, cucumbers, etc. and of course cereals. Coffee, milk and tea rounded it off. If you had another wish, it was also fulfilled. We cannot understand Ms. Tillner's recession in any way. We'll definitely be back in the fall.

We went there twice in quick succession for a short vacation and we really enjoyed it.The children were able to let off steam in the yard and garden and had a lot of fun.The evenings with soup, bread sticks and a barbecue were also really nice. You shouldn't expect a hotel, it's an older farm, obviously something needs to be done in some places but that didn't bother us. Everything had its charm. The horses and ponies are super relaxed and the rides together were a lot of fun.For beginners with a short introduction and attention is paid to everyone. All in all, we felt totally comfortable and would love to come back

I've been coming here with my grandma and father for 5 years. The last time we were there (for the 9th time!) was during the fall holidays. We really enjoyed it again this time. The rooms are rather small, but still sufficient AND - very important - clean. The Kamm family is really nice, especially Mr. (Friedhelm) Kamm leads and organizes great riding tours through pure nature. Everyone gets the right horse and there are different tours each day, for worse and better riders, so everyone gets their money's worth. Riding is always a huge highlight. Ms. (Iris) Kamm, the landlady, is always available for friendly conversations as well as requests and suggestions. Naomi and Felix Kamm are easy to talk to and Ingrid Kamm organizes a delicious breakfast with fresh rolls and a buffet every morning. The farm is a real farm - of course a little thing is broken here and there, but overall it is pretty clean. There is a large horse-drawn carriage for children to play with, two swings and a sandpit. There are also horses, cats, rabbits and even a swimming pool. The area surrounding the farm is really great nature, fantastic for walks or horseback riding tours. In addition, every time I have met other nice guests or families, I have exchanged numbers and even visited some of them.We really enjoyed it again - we'll definitely be back!

I have just read the bad review about the Reiterhof Kamm and I can't understand it at all???? I had a great time there with my daughter, horse riding is a dream! The horses are super nice and that's what matters and an experienced Mr. Kamm who would give his last shirt to make the children happy!!! Thank you for these wonderful days, we will definitely be back!!!
