I am very surprised to see the bad reviews for this hotel. We have stayed in many small hotels and inns throughout Germany for the last twenty years and this is the nicest we have been to. We were on the ground floor of the new wing. …

This hotel is nice but the owner was not very welcoming when we checked in. He is a man of very few words and does not make small talk. ||Our double room was well equipped, including a small table and two chairs. …

Picturesque hotel situated in the quiet town of Bad Tölz.The hotel is spotless and kept to a very high standard. Bedrooms are quite spacious and all have a balcony. There's a wide variety to suit all people's tastes for breakfast.Wolfgang & his staff were very helpful.Would highly recommend and would stay again.

We were driving through the area and found this on B.com, being the height of summer there were not that many places available and the prices therefor were a tad high. …

We took the chance and stayed at Leonhardihof after reading the mixed reviews. Well, what a mistake...||||The positive things about the hotel:||It was easy to find and it was situated in a quiet street. We had no problem parking. …

We spent our Easter weekend at this establishment. The breakfast and the room itself were okay (although the room had a strange odor - maybe the smell of disappointment), but the manager has made our stay very unpleasant with his pettiness, his constant excuse-making, and his almost insane behavior (more on that later). Despite the fact that he keeps the (rather expensive) spa section open until 8:00 PM (ridiculous in itself, but if those are the house rules, then what can you do), he refused to let us in at 6:00 PM, saying that the sauna would take 90 minutes to heat up (it doesn't, I've been to plenty of saunas and they are usually nice and warm within 30 minutes). The second main problem occurred with the payment. Despite advertising all major bank card payment options when we booked the room, he absolutely refused to accept anything else but cash on the spot, making all kinds of confused excuses about changing banks and that the terminal takes a few days to reactivate, etc. I know this is BS because apparently he fed the same line to other guests who were staying there months ago - according to the comments, I was not the only one to encounter the rude and confrontational style of this host. Anyway, it took us about an hour and cost us 8€ to find a working ATM in a small resort town on Easter Monday and to be able to pay this b****rd in cash. When we commented on these issues on the site where we booked the hotel, the guy actually CALLED US ON THE PHONE and began arguing with us, denying everything and berating us for giving him a bad review... He is literally insane.

I stayed here with my partner and it was the worst three nights of my life. Firstly, there were no blinds and the curtains were about as thin as a piece of paper so it was really light in our room at 6am, not to mention everybody getting up …

first of all, we booked the hotel to visit my mother in law who is in near by hospital, but I got ill and not suitable to visit her with my condition, so we cancelled within 24 hours of booking. He was very rude, demand 90 % of the bill. …

This hotel is in the throughs of being refurbished and extended. Don't let this put you off, we didn't see anything or hear any noise.||The rooms are spacious, clean and quiet and the breakfast has a very good assortment to suit everybody.

Hi,||I stayed here with 37 friends and family and two 6 month old babies(June 20th - 24th 2012). I was getting married in a small village next to Bad Tolz and my wife and I decided on this hotel after viewing it in mid-January 2012.  …
