I was there on a school trip in September this year and I can only say that the landscape is beautiful but nothing else. Waiting over the kitchen, leftover food on plates, mold everywhere (a lot) very dirty, dirty, old and everything stinks.And if you want to grill then buy a disposable grill because when we rented one there everything went wrong. It was a gas grill, so you had to let the gas in and turn the grill on straight away so that the gas didn't build up, but the on/off button didn't show any reaction, but the third time a flame shot into our faces because the gas was building up a bit. The ends of my hair burned off and my pulse was at its peak for 5 minutes. So teachers please take the time to fill out the forms for the students so that they can go to Holland because they get a lot more for the price (thanks to my teachers who don't care a bit about the students).

I (bus driver) was there with a large group of students just before the pandemic.After one night I moved to the hotel opposite because the accommodation was an absolute disgrace for me! Completely dirty bathroom with moldy bathroom door, dirty kitchen appliances and musty rooms!I have no idea how this youth hostel still exists without having carried out modernizations/renovations (according to current reviews).The Hotel “Schäferhof” is an absolute country house dream with great attention to detail, warm friendliness and, above all, CLEANLINESS!

Great landscape with many opportunities for activities.There is a common room and 2 children's rooms for those rainy days. The children's houses are very nicely decorated.The holiday homes serve their purpose. Nothing was missing.The staff is super nice and very helpful.

Very beautiful nature and relatively good houses. The Heidepark is very close (15 minutes by car)

The view is good. The bathroom is completely filthy and there is dirt coming out of the shower drain and the shower curtain is full of grease stains. Kitchen, the floor was pretty hidden and there were holes in the cupboards, only bugs were running around in the place. In my opinion, not a nice vacation spot or school trip place at all.

I was here recently on a school trip. Of course, it takes a bit of getting used to at first, as the furnishings are a bit old and the shower wasn't great at times, but the location is really great and you can quickly get to the nearest supermarket. Only the space in the bedrooms was a bit too small.

Just great for the price. Kids immediately connected and there is a lot to see and discover. The guest card gives you an additional discount on activities in and around Schneverdingen. There is even a gift for the children in the tourism information center.Spices, oil, toilet paper, etc. However, you have to get everything yourself.

We were there on a school trip. Unfortunately the accommodation is completely outdated. The beds are way too small. 1.90 m is too short.The rooms are very, very narrow.So absolutely unsuitable for a family vacation.You immediately smell mold in your nose.Plus point: the area is very quiet and is ideal for activities (although you do need a car)
