Really nice campsite with a lot of nature. Beautiful and big places to put your tent, no rocks or hard ground, only good grass which is great. Trees all over the campsite with lovely singing birds and enough shadow. By arrival we could pick our place ourselves which was really nice. However the owner was not that hospitable towards us, while in other reviews it was stated that he was. We felt like that was due to being a bit younger (mid twenties). The toilets and showers are really clean. To shower you need a pass that you get by your arrival. There is some money on it and it is more then enough to shower from a few times. The pool next to the campsite is free and also really nice, especially on hot days. We really enjoyed our stay, would come again if in the area, but simply because of the quality of the campsite, not because of the owners.

Very quiet but nice campsite. Very clean. I think it is priced a bit high for the facilities you get. The thing I don't like is that you can't arrive until 1200 midday, for that price I think you should be able to set up in the morning. Just arrived again but in a motorhome, what a brilliant camper stop site , five 🌟 for sure. Can highly recommend.

Camping sites are well cared for, enough space for a large tent (or caravan) and additional tent, so you still have room left.Toilet/shower building is already starting to show its signs, mold is present in the showers. They are cleaned several times a day. There are 4 for women and 4 for men. There are only 3 sinks. A bit too few for the campsite in my opinion. What is nice is that you have a card with points for showering, no coins, no button that you have to press every minute. The disadvantage is that the card is also the exit card for the campsite. So you have to keep the card with you. Do not leave it in your toiletry bag.Washing dishes, there are three washing places, so keep in mind that you will have to wait to wash dishes. (Far too few washing up points)Rest times are not known. For example, between 11 p.m. and 8 a.m. it is quiet at the campsite. Unfortunately, we experienced children running across the field early in the morning shouting, or people playing a drinking game and washing the dishes at their tent at half past three in the morning.Reception closes at 6 p.m., so you can no longer get an ice cream, luckily there is a good ice cream parlor in the village.Apart from the maintenance gentlemen, you never see anyone from the campsite walking around.Animation team comes to the field almost every evening. Wasn't necessary for us, but fun for the smaller children. The area is very quiet, there are several supermarkets in the village of Barntrup, but for a nice staff you have to go a little further away.

Beautiful campsite with friendly Dutch owner and Dutch entertainment. Very fun for small children. Walking and cycling from the campsite is easy and there is beautiful nature in the area. There is nothing to do in the town of Barntrup, but there is a good pizza takeaway. Environment is not touristy. Theme evenings at the campsite are fun but also pricey. Delicious sandwiches to order in the morning, but these are also pricey (a 2-minute bike ride to Lidl is much cheaper and just as tasty). We had a chalet, which looked very neat, everything was fine and they are located in a beautiful spot of the campsite. Just outside the campsite there is a nice swimming pool and a nice public playground.Make sure you have enough cash because you pay for everything in cash.

Beautiful little campsite. Many places are spacious enough for a large caravan. The staff also thinks with you about a good place.Sanitary facilities are super nice and clean, you get a shower card with points that are more than enough to take a quiet shower.Swimming pool next door that you can use for free.

We were on the pitch in front of the campsite for almost a week. We can only recommend this place!! You can use the sanitary building, showers have to be paid for by card! The pitch is very quiet 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻. You can cycle to Externsteine or explore the surrounding area.It was a nice stay there!!!
