The rooms are very clean. I found to be very good as well. Seems as it is a small family business. Very enjoyable stay.we found the staff at times to be hard to communicate with. But for the most part I do not know any German and they did there best to help us out I did find them friendly.

I only had dinner here, but my experience was quite disappointing. The Jäger schnitzel and flädle soup were both some of the worst I’ve ever had. Service was extremely slow and it took 25-30 minutes for me to pay once I was done eating. Decor is extremely old and just bleh. I couldn’t wait to leave and will probably never return. Bonndorf has much better options for dinner.

Stopped for lunch while touring the area. ||||It's a tad old fashioned in the furnishings but very comfortable, although my partner kept being blasted by cold air whenever people entered or left. …

I have stayed here many times now and have found the hospitality to be excellent. Good food and drink and the staff are very friendly, especially the Land lady Claudia who goes out of her way to make your stay special. Rooms are clean and tidy and in a good location for visiting the Black Forest.

Stopped without a booking while passing through on a bike tour. They had a garage to safely lock away our bikes and put us in a great room which was more like a small suite. Separate bathroom and sofa bed for another guest in the corridor. Wifi available and decent tv with the usual channels (German only). Very clean and great shower in the bathroom with plenty of hot water. Bathroom had a window, which they don't always.Food was decent as was the service. Typical German menu which is a bit heavy for my taste, but that's what you expect in a place like this. For 2 people with water and three beers we paid under 40 euro.We would definitely recommend the place.Oh. One negative. Walls are indeed very thin. You can hear the next room very clearly, luckily our neighbours were quiet.

Stayed there for a week when I was on business trip. Big clean room, with comfortable bed. Common but tasty breakfast. Nice personeel. The general disadvantage was: they don't speak English there, and do not accept VISA.

If you're a light sleeper make sure you don't get a window at the Rathaus side, the bell rings each half hour. Other than that it's a really nice guest hause, lovely personnel, clean and nice rooms, good breakfast.

Stayed there for a week on a business trip. Nice old hotel. Dont know if it's cheap but decent. Be ready to hear whatever people in the next room do, the Walls are very thin.
