Landal Marina Resort Well

This park has very nice new houses. Ranging from basic (but nice) to luxury. We stayed in a normal house for six persons. The house itself is very clean, modern, well equipped, etc. Our house also had a chargingpoint for our electric car. The only improvements we would welcome is shades for the bathroom windows (there is no bathroom door so light enters the bedrooms). And a lot of small details are missing; there are no shelf’s in the shower to put your shampoo/shower gel. Also a place to hang your wet towel is a missing. Shower(s) itself were a bit cold; it is a walking shower without door so a lot of warmt from the water just disappears. And the bathroom lacking a door to the bedroom makes it extra cold… Adding to this that the shower is set a bit to much on “eco” setting, letting limited water through and therefore missing the relaxing feeling of an abundant and hot shower. Final thing; there is no kids safety fence on top of the stairs making us a bit worried the little ones falling down the stairs.The Landal house are an addition to an exciting campsite. This means that outside of the summer season the park feels a bit empty/abandoned. The kids club was basic, interior a bit old. The swimming pool is also pretty basic and dated. It has a nice little kids area and one bigger pool. No rapids, big slides, toys, etc. Just a very basic pool. There was a four person bubblebath but with pretty cold water. Downside; daily between 15.15-19.00h they host swimming lessons and this means that the pool is then closed for park visitors!! And like in many public places here; there is no personnel at most of these places. Entrance to the swimming pool is by card and tourniquet. Downside; I had to get out and go to our house to get diapers for the little one. When returning I couldn’t get in any more (which is understandable). The button to contact reception did not work; no reaction after a couple of pushes. And because there is nobody watching the pool you get teenagers throwing volleyballs across the pool where parents with little ones are trying to play/swim. Also hygene is an issue; nobody checks the changing rooms regularly. We came in to go swimming and there was a dirty diaper in the baby changing room. It was still there when we left…. And on top of all; people randomly taking pictures of the pool and everybody in it. There goes privacy!The park has a nice location on the lake (Leukermeer) and has a nice harbor. You can rent a lot of water equipment to enjoy during your stay in the park. In the summer they have a waterpark.One remarkable thing; environmental friendly is not a big thing at (this) Landal when focussing on waste management! We separated all our waste; plastics, bio waste, paper, bottles and rest waste. But at the central point you have to throw plastic, bio waste and all the rest into one big dump. Sadly there is no opportunity to separate plastics and bio waste here! This comes across a bit strange, especially because the houses are like new, feature heat pump, solar panels and a eco shower. All of the positives are “waste” by not separating waste, especially the bio waste and plastics.All in all not the experience we anticipated and a disappointment from the Landal organization! We hoped for much more family oriented and relaxed holiday with great swimming pool, play areas and animation. What we found were new and nice Landal homes on the outskirts of a dated campsite with old facilities!

Sadly this was one of the most misleading and lackluster parks we have encountered so far.On our first day the gardening crew started renovating the little garden beside our house day by day moving slowly down the street (so basically giving us the authentic feel of living besides a construction site for the full week stay!On our third day they even managed to surprise us by waking us at 8:15 with construction work sounds as they where actually redoing the pavement next to our appartment!Most of the park services are automated (as in: there is a QR code you can scan). Apart from that it seems like most of the accomodations like restaurants etc are closed or open for limited timespans. These things should, in my opinion have been atleast mentioned during booking. We where there during a regular school vacation season, so this was another unexpected “surprise”.Looking up pictures or reviews of the park show off the beautiful appartments near the lake. The fact that the park is intertwined with a camping site…As to the service aspect management was unable to comment aside from staff reciting “we are sorry for the inconvienience”.Save your money and most of all free time to relax for any other park is the only real advice I can recite…

Beautiful, scenic, clean and modern houses to rent out.Just the "starter pack" is a bit underwhelming and consider bringing your own towels instead of paying a hefty price to rent some.Services are plenty, organisation is good, location beautiful amd staff helpful and friendly

Great resort. Very neat, quiet, luxurious and clean. Also all houses are very sustainable.

I recently stayed at Landal Marina Resort for a week with my wife and two children. The bungalow (4LA) was right on the lake and had a very nice view. There were several playgrounds nearby for the children. In addition to the great price-performance ratio, I also liked the service and the wide range of leisure activities on offer.
