After a long search for a hotel in Oberwesel, we were lucky enough to get to the “Rhine in Flames” event! In this family-run hotel we got a large, beautiful double room with a balcony. Have stayed in many hotels, but never one as clean as this one. Breakfast is served at the table from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. and there is plenty of everything you could want. We were given a key to store our bikes in the private garage. The family tries very hard and is so warm towards the guests. There is a garden with a large terrace to sit on. And you don't often see such a well-kept, romantic garden. We can only recommend this house and we will definitely come back.Dear hosts, thank you very much for everything. If you are looking for fully digitalized accommodation with a nonsensical breakfast buffet and small, tasteless 5-course meals from a star chef, you shouldn't even read any further here.Because the Gasthaus Weisbarth does NOT offer any of this!Why is everything so quick and impersonal (but this is criticized in most reviews!?) instead of friendly, calm and warm-hearted as here? Unfortunately, such accommodations are dying out due to a lack of suitable successors.Time seems to have stood still a bit when it comes to the establishment, but the warmth and humanity make up for it. Always time for a few words, no frills breakfast buffet from 6-10, but at a fixed time (between 8:00 and 9:00) there is what you need on site. Sausage, cheese, butter, honey, jam, quark, 1 egg, 1 glass of juice and the hot drink you chose the night before! What more could you want?Saves resources, plastic waste and unnecessary dishes. Climate protection can be so easy!The menu is also small but nice! A Jägerschnitzel prepared in the pan and not in the deep fryer with fries and seasonal salad from the garden will delight every purist, and for under 12 euros! A mushroom omelette with salad and fries, lovingly made like Grandma's, at a single-digit price range? It's (still) here!Hopefully the nice hosts will last a few more years and receive the appreciation of their guests. In any case, we would like to come again.Dietmar and Katy PrivateMay 2023

We found accommodation in Oberwesel that has to be highly praised at this point because of its cleanliness, friendliness and warmth of the hosts and value for money. It doesn't have to be a high class hotel with five stars. We give the Weisbarth family FIVE stars!!!Horst Wambach and Elke Blum
