Liked: Basic campsite, facilities pretty basic, but good showers. Rather a busy site, but option of choosing your own pitch is nice.  …

Liked: The drive through the Vosges mountain range to reach the site was breath-taking. We arrived late but found a very welcoming letter outside the reception which gave all the information we needed. …

Really enjoyed our 3 night stay at the beginning of June. Office was closed in the afternoon but they were happy for you to set up pitch and pay when the office reopened. Friendly and helpful staff. The sanitary blocks are slightly strange but they are in the process of renovation. The completed block was excellent. Hot water for washing up. Pitches are large and flat. Really impressed with the tent/hut area with attention given to cycle tourists including a recreation room in case of bad weather. The beautiful UNESCO town of Neuf-Brisach is a short walkable distance away. Overall we found the site excellent and very good value for money

Love the huts! Super convenient for cyclists on a rainy day. Nicely situated next to the town. Many amenities with the thoughts of cyclists like fridge, microwave, locked room for charging. The shower is really simple though. The hut has a safety harzard though. Behind the canvas, it was 2 meter into the ground with no railing. Since the ‘room’ is really tight, a mis step could be quite dangerous

Nice camping for one night on the Rhine Route. We asked for electricity connection and thus were given a little camp space apart (not in the bicyclist area), no special adapter needed which was good.No toilet paper, but otherwise OK sanitary rooms.Quite loud at night though with neighbors in their vans discussing till midnight, cars driving through in the middle of the night and the road quite audible.

We enjoyed camping here as part of our cycle tour along the Rhine. This campsite is brilliantly set up for cycle tourers. We enjoyed the deck area and small pizza cafe - a very calm and cheerful place to sit.

We stopped here for a couple of nights to visit Colmar. The reception was closed when we arrived and so we were left to our own devices to find a pitch and the map was only on the door to reception so it was a bit difficult to find our way around. There were very few left close enough to an electricity point, the one we found was very rocky and uneven but it was partially shaded and private. The biggest issue we faced was the electricity point, it is well past its best and was rickety. When we first plugged in it was fine but then the power kept cutting out unless it was pushed in in a certain way and we ended up having to improvise by putting a piece of wood under our connector to hold it in place. I reported this to reception the following morning but I'm not sure the receptionist understood what I meant. The sanitary facilities are ok however the showers are a bit strange and very dark. The toilets nearest to our pitch were smelly and the men's toilets were blocked off in places. We found the campsite to be very peaceful and quiet and we got a couple of lovely sunsets. We also saw a glow worm one night! The campsite is in an ideal location for visiting Colmar (about a 20 minute drive) and make sure you check out Neuf-Brissac next door as it is very interesting and a UNESCO world heritage site.

We are cycle touring with two small children. This campsite was great: a dedicated cyclists' field and a small room available with plugs, sofa, fridge and microwave. Unrestricted showers which were good pressure and hot, rack over a radiator in the shower block to dry one or two items of clothing, benches outside to cook at, playground and very friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended.

The reception is closed in the early afternoon but it seems to be accepted that you just find a pitch and check in later. The site is kept in good order through continuous maintenance. Far less harassment by mosquitos here than some places we've stayed. A great spot for access to the town and the historical walled city.
