Nice, cozy rooms, the bathroom lacks a mat in front of the shower stall, which is a risk of slipping and the towel warmer is difficult to reach, even for tall people. It's a bit of a shame that you get breakfast in a small side room instead of in the nice, bright restaurant - which is empty in the morning.

Perhaps unjustifiably a worse score for service, because we did not see anyone from the hotel. Checking in and out had to be done independently. Breakfast was provided in an original way via a basket with bread and toppings that was ready in the hallway in the morning, but it was actually very minimal (you had to make 1 bottle of fruit juice and coffee yourself via the machine in the room). All these things are probably because of corona, but to be honest I expected a little more!

Superb for spending a night while visiting the Freiburg Christmas market and visiting the surrounding area.Top quality organic breakfast and without having an absurd choice, the fresh eggs are perfectly cooked.Clean and welcoming room.Just the soundproofing can be disturbing, but the night was very quiet and pleasant.Parking space available.

We stayed there for one night and stayed in the Kaiserstuhl Suite.First, a little anecdote in advance, which doesn't factor into my general assessment: We were there from Saturday to Sunday in August. Even though we only got back to the hotel late (12:00 a.m.), we were amazed at the enormous volume from afar. As we could see out the window, there was a loud wedding party going on in the hotel's adjacent building. We put up with the extremely loud music and bass as well as the guests' loud conversations until 4 a.m. For a better understanding, we are in our mid-20s ourselves and definitely understand celebrations and parties. When there was no improvement in sight, I saw no other option than to contact the hotel owners at home by telephone. The problem was then taken care of and at 4.30 a.m. there was finally peace. Unfortunately, the hotel apparently forgot about this the next morning. Because no one spoke to us or apologized. The owners weren't even there. Only after I wrote an email to the hotel was they apologized and offered compensation. I won't go into this in more detail as it was agreed upon personally between the guest and the hotel.But now to the basic assessment...Positive:- lots of space in the room- comfortable bed- Cleanliness- modern furnishings- large refrigerator- Bathtub- huge bathroom- Complimentary bottle of wine & water- free soap & shower gel- delicious breakfast- Free and sufficient parking spaces- nice welcome letter as we arrived outside the check-in timeNegative:- no elevator- only filter coffee for breakfast- no shower mat- no shower, just a bathtub without a curtain etc.- Refrigerator wasn't turned on- Towels were already very washed out- No air conditioning- no shelf in the bathroom

Everything we tried on the clear menu was very tasty. In the chestnut-shaded courtyard you can enjoy a cold beer or a good wine in a pleasant atmosphere.

Very suitable for a conference. Unfortunately there is currently no hot kitchen in the house. But service and food are very good.
