The welcome was very warm, the holiday apartment “Pusteblume” was tastefully furnished and very clean. The shower is spacious so you can shower comfortably.The breakfast is rich, leaving nothing to be desired. Everything is already lovingly arranged at the table.We would love to come back.See you soon Martin and Birgit

Wonderfully furnished apartment "Pusteblume" that leaves nothing to be desired: functional and loving! We looked forward to breakfast every day with fresh rolls and delicious ingredients. We also developed a taste for real East Frisian tea. We met Ms. and Mr. Jannsen as very open-minded and friendly hosts. The guest house is highly recommended!

In July we spent a week in beautiful Esens Bensersiel and stayed in the Maike guesthouse. The Utsicht apartment is very tastefully furnished and has a terrace with a beach chair for relaxing. The bathroom is modern and spacious. In the morning there is a sensational breakfast and the hosts are very friendly and helpful. We felt extremely well looked after and would love to come back.

We stayed in the “Strandflieder” holiday apartment for 5 days and can only agree with the other reviews. From the uncomplicated booking to the friendly welcome, the very clean and well-equipped apartment, the great breakfast, the quiet yet central location with free parking right in front of the house and the lockable bicycle garage, everything was just right.Thank you again, dear Janssen family!

The highlight of the day was the lavish and good breakfast served by the host in the morning, which changed every day. The host family has furnished the guest rooms with a lot of love and knows how to treat guests. A small disadvantage is the location of the house if you arrive by public transport and start your daily excursions. It is 2 km to the train station and 1.2 km to the central bus station. It was a very quiet environment.

Super nice hosts. We felt very comfortable. Quiet location, but the town center is easy to reach on foot. Bicycle parking space in the garage with charging facility. Very clean and well-maintained apartment with a balcony. The breakfast was rich and lovingly prepared.

We booked four nights at the Maike guesthouse at short notice. The reception by the Janssen family was so warm, as if we had known each other for years, but we were there for the first time. We had some interesting and funny conversations. We had booked the beach lilac apartment, which has a very high standard. The equipment even included the current television guide. In our opinion, it is quite rare to find something like this in this price segment. The cleanliness is excellent there. We always enjoyed our morning breakfast very much. Parking spaces are directly at the house. The walk to Esens city center is approx. 10 minutes. Excursions from there by car or bike are absolutely possible. We'd love to come back and look forward to more great conversations with Elke and Gerold Janssen. Finally, all that remains to be said is that Guesthouse Maike is absolutely recommended.Petra and Ulrich Schneider
