I will be completely honest in this review. I like to think of myself as an honest reviewer and by no means sensitive. The location is truly beautiful, with stunning views overlooking a small lake and the forested hills of the Harz region. It's a picturesque spot, perfect for relaxation. However, our experience was significantly overshadowed by the owner, who was extremely unpleasant and lacked any sense of customer service. In other words, the owner was disinterested from the moment we arrived until we left. After spending over 200 euros per night for two days in a small cabin with no toilet, we stayed a bit longer to have lunch in our friends' caravan, who had also paid for their stay. Shockingly, the owner charged them an additional 40 euros for 'day guests.' Seriously? It was a disappointing end to our long summer holiday.Keep in mind, the owner only speaks German and will not even look at you if you speak English.

An average campsite which is heavily overpriced and is operated by the worst staff I ever met on a camping trip. It is next to a lake with a small beach. Even though it was half empty, the whole place felt crowded. We basically payed twice as much as we payed at other places. The guy operating the place is an extremely grumpy old guy. I would avoid the place just to avoid the horrible staff.

Good location with bad facilities
It was a nice area near by the lake but customer services was not friendly or helpful. I would not go again and not recommended!

This a great place to get away from everything!! The family that runs the camp grounds are very friendly!!! We cant wait to go back!!!
