Positive things first:The team at the hotel is super nice and friendly. Also very attentive. Despite the initial difficulties that can arise with a renovation and the current understaffing, we did not notice any stress on the part of the staff. From the outside it seems like a pleasant team that sticks together.+Extremely fluffy bathrobe and a bag with bath towels was on itRoom. The furnishings and beds were of super high quality. We loved the pillows.Since the staff was so friendly and I really don't like reporting negative things, it's a bit difficult for me to write the review. But we were so disappointed, I have to get rid of it.Now to the negative for us:-We couldn't really relax in the whole hotel. It all seems very pragmatic - plastic plants, loud, open hospital canteen-like restaurant, no comfortable seating that invites you to linger.-If you want to eat reasonably healthily, this is also the wrong place for you. Everything is very classic Bavarian cuisine. We expected a lot of meat because of the region. Unfortunately, vegetarian and balanced meals were offered so rarely that we had trouble feeling healthy. Everything was very fatty and unfortunately the few vegetables were often only used as a bed for meat or fish. It may be that other guests are not affected by this, so it is a very personal impression. In general, the food was somehow not convincing. A bit boring, taste very average. Sometimes totally over-salted. + Super nice staff and a dedicated chef here too! Everything was always well stocked.Breakfast was also pretty boring and nothing special. We were full. But we weren't really looking forward to the meals. Additionally, the atmosphere in the restaurant was busy and crowded. Rather stressful.Drink selection was nice but for example there was no orange juice but rather a kind of soda. No non-alcoholic alternatives to beer. If you don't like alcohol, you have to drink soda with your children. Kind of sad. Taking drinks to the room wasn't possible either. But since there was nowhere else to sit comfortably, it was rather impractical. There was no kettle or anything else in the room.Despite the fact that some people described the hotel as unfriendly to families, there were a lot of families there. Sure, vacation. The children were super nice and sat at the table with their parents. High chairs were also available. The advertised “spa area” led us to wrongly assume that it was now more of a relaxation and wellness hotel. DemIt's not like that. That's ok - I just think you should know. The pool was virtually unusable because it was always full of children. Nice for families! Unfortunately not for people who were looking for relaxation.Sauna area open from 2:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.Lunch 2 p.m.-4 p.m.Dinner 6 p.m.-8 p.m.So if you want to go to the sauna you have to squeeze it somewhere in between and after dinner you can still relax on the lounger - it's not a shame.-Glasses in the room were not changed within 5 days. Neither do bed linen. Upon arrival the room was super clean! However, it was somewhat neglected during our stay.We booked through Falk Travel before it opened and didn't expect such a small and winding room based on the AI photos. We got a pretty good deal but our room still cost €160 per night. As you can see from the photos you couldn't go to bed relaxed. There are about 6 rooms that look like this. But there is no trace of this on any platform where you can book the hotel or here on Google. If you look at the pictures you can't expect a room like this. When we asked the receptionist about it, we were very kind about our discomfort and noted that we would upload more pictures in the future. For us it is still unbearable to charge so much for such a room. The regular price during the week is €240 for two people.
