great venue for wedding next to the hotel. The hotel is tucked away in the countryside and is extremely peaceful, green, and relaxing. However, because there is no AC, the room was very warm (all glass structure) and the only way to cool down is to open the door, which made the room noisy and less private. Otherwise, things are good and breakfast is decent

This is how things can work when non-hoteliers open a hotel...Terrific.Not perfect, but as long as you're dealing with real people, that can't be the aim.But what the Maise is is: simply very unique, special, a breath of fresh air in the dusty German gastronomic sky, aesthetic, calm, natural and very hospitable.The furnishings throughout are of impeccable robust beauty, from the light switch to the egg cup. The stone floors, the solid wood, the wellness area, the linen blankets, the absolutely wonderfully soft cloud beds with feel-good bed linen, the delicious fresh fruit at breakfast and everything else is absolutely high quality and simply special.Personally, I have only experienced such a special knack for visually and tactilely beautiful things once in the world in a hotel.Now that's all pretty great, but it's actually not the best thing about corn. These are the people.A small mishap during the booking was made up for a thousandfold by each and every employee and also the manager of the house. Of course, the Maise is not a classic holiday hotel with 24-hour service and the classic equipment of one (ballpoint pen, television, hotel folder with endless information material, ...).But if you have the freedom of mind not to compare everything with everything else and want to have and consume the same thing as always, you can perceive and enjoy the beauty of this place when you get involved: the clocks tick a little differently here. Namely not. No noise from TV and WiFi, just peace and quiet in a place in the middle of nature. So simple and yet definitely not an everyday occurrence for most of us.For me, that one night in the Maise was a short vacation, even though I was there to work.I hope that I'll have the opportunity to stay a little longer at some point.Thank you for everything.

Beautiful, extremely tastefully furnished house in a great secluded location. We received a very warm welcome from the team and felt completely at home. Particularly beautiful: the absolute peace up there. If you value this, you should avoid the weekend, as there is a popular wedding location next door.

Were here for a wedding. It was fantastic. The location is in a great location with a great view of the Lautertal. Everything went well and everyone felt comfortable.

A modern, spacious and very tastefully decorated hotel. The view would be hard to beat, especially the panoramic view from the wellness area.The peace and quiet alone is worth a stay in the most beautiful nature, far away from the hustle and bustle of the city. An ideal venue for concentrated work at business events and certainly also for weddings. I hope it wasn't the last event at the Maisenburg!

We were guests at a great wedding celebration at the Maysenburg. The ambience was beautiful, the service at the celebration was friendly and courteous and the view of the valley is unique.Unfortunately, we had to have an uncomfortable and inappropriate experience in the suites of the old estate. When we arrived at 8pm on the eve of the wedding as discussed, there was no one there to check us in. The bride and groom gave us a (!) key for 2 families in the tiled stove suite, but when we asked we couldn't get a second key... and it stayed that way for 3 days. To our surprise, there was no soap, shampoo or body lotion in the suite. There was no water provided, no welcome card and the previous person's personal information was still on the table. There was no official information about breakfast times and unfortunately not about check-out either. So it happened that on the last morning, a Saturday morning (after we had celebrated the wedding until 4 a.m.), we were surprised at breakfast with the fact that we had to vacate the rooms by 10 a.m. because the next bride and groom had been promised was that they could get ready there from 11 a.m. There had been no sign, no notice, nothing like that before. We were then offered that we could have breakfast and that the beds would be freshly made. When we got back to the room, all of our things had been removed from the bathroom, which was all very unpleasant. On the first morning of our arrival we politely declined the room service offer, but then on the second of three mornings there was no more room service, which wasn't okay with a baby in diapers and an overflowing bucket. We then brought it up at reception and with the manager, but it was always blamed on the bride and groom, who should have let the guests know. They didn't recognize their own mistake, that there had been no information, nothing personal, and that it was impossible to promise the next guests their room at 11 a.m. on Saturday. The farewell to all guests then took place in the parking lot, as it was neither possible to stay in the breakfast room nor was there any seating outside.
