Great beer garden right by the stream, great to stop for a cool drink and the right snack. There is also a large selection of fresh dishes for those who are very hungry.It is cooked with a lot of love.Even in the cooler months you can enjoy your meal very comfortably in the restaurant.Always happy to go there ❤️

Went there for the first time today... Highly recommended! Very, very nice and cozy beer garden! Great cakes and tarts! Really very very nice service!We'll definitely be back!

We were there in the beer garden for the first time today... First of all, we were warmly greeted and welcomed, but we had to wait a long time until drinks could be ordered, which wasn't bad at first because there was a lot going on!But then we had to wait just as long for our drinks to arrive and no food was ordered yet! In the end we waited 2 hours for salad, which in our opinion didn't really fit the description and very little.The house dressing consisted only of oil and vinegar.It's a shame, we came here with great hope and anticipation.I'll take another picture sometime for a second chance.Tips:Organizationally, a lot needs to be done, but since the hospitality is there it can work.Good luck 🍀

We were there on November 10th. a guest there for the goose menu. When we entered the restaurant we immediately noticed the lovingly decorated tables. But also the service staff, who welcomed us very nicely and friendly. You immediately felt like you were in good hands and were looking forward to a culinary evening. The chef and owner welcomed us with greetings from the kitchen with good bread and goose fat, as well as grilled goose liver. Afterwards we had pumpkin soup for starters. The main course consisted of two goose legs, back and breast, potato dumplings, glazed chestnuts, red cabbage and an excellent sauce.The dessert to choose from: crème brúlee or a rich selection of cheese. Everything was beautifully prepared and really tasty. The cheese required explanation and was explained professionally by the boss. The icing on the cake was a singing performance we requested from the service staff, who sang “Amazing Grace” in a gifted voice.We drove home full of satisfaction from a wonderful evening and hope to be guests at the Birkenhof again soon! THANKS TO THE TEAM!

We stayed here with our dog over the weekend and really loved it! Our dog was also warmly welcomed. The room was super clean and comfortable. Mr. Serr is very personable and makes really good scrambled eggs. :-). Thank you for the great weekend. We'd love to come back!

We stayed 1 night in the app "Music is in the air" and were greeted very friendly. The app. was clean with a balcony facing the Schwarzbach. Although the bedroom is right on the street, it is very quiet there at night. The windows are well insulated and we slept well on the mattresses. The guest couch is probably not that comfortable according to our daughter. A fresh blanket and a water bowl were provided for the dog. Unfortunately, we weren't offered the opportunity to have breakfast on Mondays and the bakery within walking distance is closed on Mondays.
