Nice, older hotel located directly on the main road. Very well maintained and clean. We were very disappointed with the reception of the lady in the wheelchair because she called my husband, who hadn't booked breakfast, a parasite. We've never experienced anything like this before.The man was very nice.Rooms very clean. Breakfast room beautifully decorated with white tablecloth and lots of artificial flowers. Breakfast rich and varied. There was nothing missing.

Very nice hotel for the Ems bike tour.Located on the Ems cycle path. We had a nice, large, quiet room. The e-bikes can be parked and charged in the garage. Breakfast good. The food in the evening was rich and inexpensive. The selection isn't that big, but it's perfectly fine for a cycling trip. Staff and owner very friendly. I can only recommend it.

We were at the campsite for 16 days. Nice place on the Ems. Super nice operator, clean sanitary facilities. Been there before. We'd love to come back. Good restaurant.

Very friendly owners and staff. You feel welcome and well looked after from check-in to departure. The rooms are functional but a bit old. Both the rooms and the whole house are very clean. The breakfast buffet is small but offers everything you need in a small and charming breakfast room. Good selection of sausages and cheeses, cereals, eggs and fresh fruit. The rolls could be a little crispier. Adjacent to the hotel there is a beautiful beer garden that invites you to linger. Adjacent to this is a campsite which borders directly on the Ems. The whole property is wooded and very tidy. The dishes offered in the restaurant, including regional specialties, are also recommended. Were there for the third time and will definitely come again.

We spent a night there on our bike trip to the North Sea and we felt very comfortable. From great conversations to the helpfulness of everyone there, be it the hotel or the local campers. Thank you 👍🏻 we'll be happy to come back.🚲

It was a great stay with the best service. Despite larger events, it was quiet and we were greeted warmly.Our room was super large and well heated. The interior is not the most modern, but is still clean and fully equipped.Breakfast was excellent and there was even fresh scrambled eggs on the second day. There was enough of everything and more was always added.Thank you for your stay and we hope it works out with the next visit in May. 😊

Elisabeth Behrends' country inn is a very nice country inn for holidays, family and company celebrations. A big compliment to the hotel owners Elisabeth and Hans Behrens, who do everything they can to make sure you can relax and feel comfortable in their country inn. Above all, you will find a nice and friendly staff here, including kitchen staff, waiters and service staff. Cleanliness is the top priority here at the country inn. There is a very varied menu for breakfast, lunch and, if desired, in the evening. The day begins in the country inn with a very good and varied, healthy breakfast buffet; there really isn't anything missing from the buffet. Kudos to the entire team at the country inn. Now a few things about the town of Lathen, there are many leisure activities and sights in the surrounding area. A stroll through the town of Leer with its many half-timbered houses and a sightseeing tour of the Meyer shipyard in Papenburg are also worthwhile. Cycling along the Ems is another highlight. There is also an amusement park nearby with many offers and attractions.
