We found this place through a restaurant guide and on our way from Italy to Germany we decided to stop for a night. The location is very beautiful, peaceful and relaxing. The hotel is very big and has plenty of space and did not feel very crowded despite it had a lot of rooms and guests that weekend. The relaxation areas with the pool and separate with a garden were very nice, though the pool was rather crowded. The garden was very relaxing and had small river passing by as well as sauna on the open air. The restaurant has to be a separate story - classic but with excellent execution, fresh ingredients and great service with outstanding wine list, totally deserved Michelin to mention! The room was very spacious and comfortable though was very classic village house style but had its charm. The parking inside is paid, outside is free and there were plenary of spots to leave the car.Definitely will be going back whenever we have a chance even if we have to travel there specifically for that!P.S. only issue we had that our credit card was charged twice for the dinner and it took a while and a couple of emails to resolve, but no problem of getting money back for the dinner crew charge.

A place to experience the (bourgeoise) lifestyle of Southwest Germany, 'Baden' flavour. Not much left to complain about. And the Lord gets five stars for the nature.

Stayed for a business meeting but will certainly return for a pleasure break! EVERYTHING was simply perfect from the super attentive and friendly staff to the amazing food and ambiance. Nothing was too much trouble for the team and we were made to feel very pampered. Thank you for making a work trip such a memorable experience.

We returned to the hotel after a wonderful stay 20 years ago. Unfortunately it didn’t live up to our previous experience. Generally this is a lovely hotel in a beautiful setting. …

Our second overnight stop in Germany. We had a perfect late check in and we received two charming rooms. Absolutely nothing was missing. We needed a little spa treatment to recover from travelling. We still had time to enjoy the spa and even to walk your barefoot path. As a young Canadian to see a family operation in the sixth generation is overwhelming. We would have loved to meet Viki or Kirstin. Amazing menu and a big compliment to the sommelier and the rest of the team. It was only too bad that we could not have stayed another night, because the Alsace was calling. We hope to visit you again soon.Dr. Holly O'Neill, DC & Gunnar Guckes

After 9 hours road trip we were fortunate enough to get a room in the busy Romantic Hotel. The style fits the surroundings, the staff is friendly and the amenities are (still) ok by todays standards. …

If you love great nature in the mountains with vast forests and babbling streams, then you should definitely consider the southern part of the Black Forest. …

Second time here and truly an amazing hotel. The room was amazing squeaky clean with a great view overlooking a small creek. ||Service is friendly and staff cannot do enough for you. Definitely a treat and worth a long weekend away.||But due to a misunderstanding with our restaurant reservation we were made to feel as unwanted guests.

We have spent 2 nights in the hotel and had an amazing time. The hotel and the rooms are traditional (you can sense the over 100 year old history), but at the same time family Fuchs has embedded modern elements very tastefully. The beds are very comfy and I slept like baby! The food is just amazing! A mix of tradition and Asia. No wonder headchef Viky is (still) a raw diamond and one will hear much more of her in the future. The fact that she came out of the kitchen and spend a lot of time taking to each guest after the kitchen closed, was really nice of her. The Kaiserschmarren, responsibility of her boyfriend or husband was a highlight though and most likely the best one I ever had. And I am Austrian. The best thing however about our stay was the welcoming, friendly, and always attentive staff, including the people at the reception, the waiters and the cleaning ladies who always had a smile for us and made our stay unforgettable! Thank you very much!
