Great place for travelers on a budget, Only accessible on foot and it's a very steep climb. Lots of vegetarian options and everything's organic. Nice rooms. You can take a sleigh back down.

Ok kinda of Gasthaus, What else can you ask for in the middle of the trek when you get fresh Rothaus Beer and something to eat. You are so hungry that even stale stuff served tastes good.

We took a short break on our hike. The selection of food options was extremely limited. We still had a nice apple strudel with vanilla sauce. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Cozy mountain hut in wonderful nature. The team made up of hut warden Heinz (around 70, looking for a successor) and several young volunteers could be better organized. Because everything is so uncomplicated and the prices are fair, it's hard to complain about itcomplain. For families with small children: there are two 4-bed rooms and a 6-bed room with double bunk beds, which was great for us to sleep next to the little ones. There is a large seminar room that we were able to use as a play area and play area (because there was little going on). We'd love to come back! Getting there in snow is tricky, even with snow chains, there is no clearing. It can work with all-wheel drive and high ground clearance, otherwise park at Rinken and walk up or have it picked up by snowmobile.
