Very clean and pretty room .Breakfast room also had a lovely view onto the Lilienstein .Close to the fortress and other sightseeing locations .Unfortunately, especially during this hot weather , I did expect a little fridge and safe in the room . Also , not much bathroom necessities available. No one available during the night, for a hotel room with that price not an appropriate situation especially when the Hotel is fully booked . At 9pm restaurants closed on a Saturday everywhere, no food in the hotel or anyone to suggest an alternative, a bit disappointing.Sauna only to very limited hours , weren’t able to use it .Other rooms where booked with people who felt like the property was theirs .It felt like champing or motel at times , a pitty . There needs to be more structure what this place wants to represent.Breakfast was nice . More fresh fruits und fresh juice maybe . Hard boiled Eggs where blue , not good .Needs to focus on details more and availability to guests during the night .

Very nice place! The owner was very kind when I arrived. The rooms are basic but good and clean. Drinks in the evening are self service. The drinks are not expensive. Breakfast was excellent.Only minor detail, there is no dinner. You need to go somewhere, but there are some good restaurants close by.

Nice and clean. Good, fresh breakfasts. Very calm and quiet place. Good localization. But for this price I would expect to have fridge and kettle in room.

The Waldidylle Gorisch is very well located accommodation in Saxon Switzerland. The employees are very, very friendly and take care of everything. Even before our vacation, communication was perfect. The rooms are very clean and cozy. Underfloor heating in the bathroom and sauna included! Information material from the surrounding area is more than sufficient. And if not, just ask! Breakfast was very good and a packed lunch for the day is also possible upon request. We'd love to come back!Kind regards, Mirko

The lovingly designed guesthouse is a great starting point for hikes in the Elbe Sandstone Mountains. All essential information about hikes and transport connections was available. The rooms are stylishly designed with high-quality mattresses and underfloor heating. The breakfast room is equally tastefully decorated and there is something for every palate at breakfast. The buffet was always quickly refilled and special requests seemed to be fulfilled upon request. The guest refrigerator in the lounge was very useful for us, as there was no refrigerator in our room. Numerous drinks with a trust fund are also available here.We were very happy that our furry friend was allowed to come with us. The house rules for dog owners are a matter of course for us.Due to the weather we weren't able to use the garden much, but we'll definitely be back in the summer months.

The forest idyll has 14 rooms, some of which are equipped with kitchen knives. There is a common room with a guest refrigerator where you can cool drinks and food that you have brought with you. There is also a self-service drinks refrigerator there. Breakfast is great, nothing is missing and the atmosphere is very familiar. For allergy sufferers or diet lovers, there are extra options available upon request. Dogs are welcome. Garden with 2 saunas and relaxation area and pond. Rooms are very stylishly furnished, underfloor heating, comfortable beds. Absolutely recommended!!!! Service is warm and honest. We'll be back! Location is ideal for hikes in Saxon Switzerland, all information is perfectly summarized in the house folder.

Really amazing how some reviews come about! We were also in this really wonderful guesthouse at the beginning of August and we didn't miss the construction site on the street either, but it didn't bother us and that's all!Pension is beautifully located, very quiet and a perfect place to stayShut down and switch off!Located right next to the forest, it was great for us as dog owners to go for a ride in the morning and evening! The facility is nicely done, very clean and in the evening you can sit outside with a glass of wine!I can't say anything about the sauna, it wasn't in great demand when the outside temperature was 33°! But it looks very inviting!Breakfast was great and absolutely sufficient!Buffet is constantly replenished and always freshly prepared!Rooms are always cleaned (and we are really picky about that) Top!!!Extra praise!!!!In the main house there is a refrigerator with drinks for self-service (for a fee) and one for your own food and drinks!Great idea!Managing all of this after Corona and constant staff shortages...respect!Well...I personally feel sorry for people who spend half their lives on Mallorca but have never seen Saxon Switzerland!Great hikes for all ages and levels of difficulty! When you check in you will receive a card with which you can use various ferries or buses for free or at a reduced price!Really makes a difference!I still have to get rid of one thing...Just because a ball pit wasn't installed on the summit of Lilienstein doesn't mean that Saxon Switzerland is unfriendly for children! There is a lot to discover and our child would have felt very comfortable here!We have already registered for autumn (the colors of the leaves are supposed to be stunning) and are already looking forward to it! Keep going as before, even though it certainly won't get any easier!

Attention: Construction site with noise pollution right next to the hotel for several months from August 2024. No goodwill from the hostess and no notice in advance. We stayed in the hotel for 4 nights with 2 children (1 year and 4 years). When you go on your well-deserved vacation and there's construction going on next door, you gulp. The construction work starts at 7am (instead of 8am as advertised by the hotel) and we were woken up by the noise between 7am and 8am every day. When the street was opened up the whole room shook. My request for financial accommodation was met with rejection with excuses and with only my own wallet in mind. "She can't help it either" + "We would have gotten a good offer + the guest card was included." -> Thank you. However, that was the basis of our trip and before we knew that there was a construction site next to the hotel. So it doesn't do much for me. If we had known this beforehand, we would never have come because we expected a harmonious, quiet forest idyll. In my opinion, a certain amount of accommodation, which doesn't have to be much, would have been very appropriate (e.g. 10-20%). The court rulings are relevant and go up to a 60% discount. The only thing there was: multiple apologies, which didn't help anyone. The quality of the host usually only becomes apparent when problems arise. In similar situations, we have experienced far more customer-friendly service elsewhere. At the end, when there was no agreement from the owner, she reacted a bit snippy (it was 5 minutes before 10 a.m. and we had certainly spent 20 minutes discussing). “Make sure to leave the rooms at 10am”.And in the meantime:"Other guests have also complained about their loud children at breakfast, you can also see the other side"Positive experiences:- The breakfast was good and nicely prepared, a lot of it was freshly prepared and fresh egg dishes were available upon request.- The room was cozy and nicely furnished, the balcony was generally nice (but with a direct view of the construction site on the street)- There was at least a mini playground (the scaffolding seemed quite unstable: there is a small plastic swing and a small slide)- Sauna, beautiful green areaOverall, Saxon Switzerland did not make the impression that it was child-friendly - we know this to be completely different from other places in the world. Not recommended for families with small children. The accommodation itself was quite child-friendly, but some guests were not and were very narrow-minded.We would not recommend the accommodation due to the above-mentioned overshadowing experience.
