This was a really great hotel. The rooms were clean and well kept. The staff was friendly and helpful. There was free parking. The breakfast was good. The location is quite close by drive to Furth Im Wald.

We ate and stayed overnight at the Gasthof Schierlitz. Our conclusion: GREAT!!!The food was very tasty, the rooms were clean and spacious. The friendliness with which we were welcomed and that we received throughout our stay is particularly noteworthy. We felt very comfortable and welcome and will be happy to come back.

Discovered the butcher shop yesterday and visited it again today. Very good offer at absolutely fair prices. Great range of meat and sausages as well as cheese, rolls...The roast brawn, for example, is highly recommended and there were a few Viennese free for the dog who was squealing outside.The associated inn also welcomed us with very friendly service.Today we only had beer, coffee, ice cream and cake, but we will definitely come back and try the delicious menu.You can feel in all areas that this is a family-run business.

The guesthouse can only be recommended, we felt very comfortable. Very nice staff and wonderful food - especially worth it with half board. Freshly renovated bathrooms rounded things off. Also very suitable for smaller travel groups or larger families.

After a trip to the Bavarian Forest, we stopped at the Gasthof Schierlitz for dinner. There were plenty of parking spaces in the courtyard, at the entrance or directly opposite. It is a typical Bavarian inn with an attached guesthouse and butcher's shop. After a friendly greeting, we immediately noticed the many fresh meat and sausage dishes that seemed to come straight from the butcher's shop. We ordered 2 Helle for the absolutely fair price of €3.20 as well as 1x Cordon Bleu and 1x onion roast. Shortly afterwards, the two accompanying salad plates arrived (5 stars! Unfortunately, almost all restaurants have discontinued this side dish since Corona or only for a fee). After about 15 minutes, both meals arrived: the meat was totally fresh, juicy and overall very tasty, as were the side dishes. My companion also highlighted the excellent sauce on the roast.We were served by the operating family, who were very friendly and service-oriented. We had a free choice of tables in the dining room and found it quite comfortable overall. There was also an outdoor seating area, but we spurned it due to the immense heat. We were very satisfied and recommend the inn without reservation!

Great guesthouse! Located in a small village, very nice team! Breakfast absolutely sufficient and prepared with love. Dinner in the restaurant was delicious. Rooms well equipped with great balconies and new bathroom. WiFi stable enough to work. Just right for a break in the Bavarian Forest. I felt very comfortable - again at any time. Price-performance ratio 1A!

The Schierlitz family is super friendly! Was there with my mother and my dog for a few days! Food fresh and delicious! The breakfast on the first day was very good, from the second day on you were allowed to fetch your own things, maybe the lady was overwhelmed!?I would love to spend my vacation there again and again!

A week of warmth, friendliness, delicious food and great service at exceptionally good prices. We (a family group of 7 people) were thrilled. Half board with delicacies from the in-house butcher's shop is highly recommended. Many thanks to the Schierlitz family and team
