Short version:The booked stay with my retreat group borders on damaging my business. The participants (and organizers) were shocked by the condition of the premises. The reason for this is the extremely unhygienic conditions and the condition of the property that is in dire need of renovation.Due to a few positive points (location, nature, fireplace, pantry, seminar room) there are 2 stars.Long version (only the hardest points due to character limit):Hygiene:-Rooms generally old and dingy, unhygienic, dirt/stains/cobwebs etc. everywhere that haven't just been there for a few days-Kitchen/dishes are cleaned by the respective visitors themselves and obviously not checked by the administration, let alone cleaned thoroughly, so everything was dirty or sticky, so everything had to be washed up first-Cabinets in the kitchen were full of crumbs and dirt (greasy dust), corners full of dirt-Bathrooms partly dirty, stubborn dirt, especially in a shower-Mouse droppings in bedobject state;- water damage that has not been repaired (is instead painted over by the owner as a cloud), I wonder what is going on in some people's heads, of course there are no pictures of that on the website...-Some rooms smell unpleasant (which is pointed out directly by the manager...)-In at least one room (double room next to kitchen) a disturbing dripping noise can be heard sporadically at night-some images on the website are heavily filtered and presented in the best possible light and border on intentional deception-The property or its components are partially run down-Sanitary facilities are partly in a dilapidated condition, sockets are loose, in general it seems as if many things were not installed professionally → “old” is not a bad thing as long as it is well preserved and clean, but it is old, dilapidated and unhygienic... This depresses the mood and makes you feel uncomfortableInventory condition criticism:-According to the property manager, the advertised WiFi has been defective since February 2022 (i.e. 2 months!), which means no(!) Internet at all (you'll only receive mobile Internet once if you're lucky!). We were not informed about this beforehand. Since we as a group (and individual participants) were sometimes absolutely dependent on the internet, I just find this outrageous/cheeky and an absolute lack-Mattresses and bedding old and stained-disgusting doormats in a bathroom, some with blood stains (the manager removed them shortly before departure after a complaint and said the previous group had put the mats down and they were actually for outside...believable? I can't imagine someone like that bacteria slingers voluntarily touches)-Chairs in the seminar room were disgusting, dusty, old, partly crumbly and full of cobwebs, you had to clean them yourself first, one or two chairs almost fell apart-The yoga mats cannot be called yoga mats, with “Shavasana” (German: dead position) the name becomes the programGenerally:-The manager is actually a nice, older gentleman. He checked on everything every morning. But when we expressed our criticism to him, we didn't feel like we were being taken seriously because he kept putting things into perspective- a lot of excuses are given with “the owner is an artist” (e.g. the so-called mirror in the bathroom, which was probably named “nightmare” by the owner...that says it all) → if this art object is so great, why is it giving up Doesn't the website have any pictures of it?Conclusion:Absolutely in need of modernization. If you want to book it, you should visit the site beforehand and not rely on pictures. An additional personal observation from me:2 of the positive reviews here, based on their names, are people who live directly next to the new mill...I hope the owner reads this text and takes a few points to heart. The property has a lot of potential if you do some renovations and keep it properly clean.
