I had a fantastic stay at CitizenM Southbank London. The location is unbeatable, with amazing restaurants nearby and the vibrant Borough Market just a short stroll away. …

The eclectic, modern art on steroids style won't be to everyone's taste but it feels like this hotel is making an effort and it mostly pays off. The service is laid-back and efficient rather than "How may I help you sir?" …

This was booked based on other reviews and location. It’s minutes from the Tate and you can walk to Borough Market in about 12 minutes. Also walking distance to a tube station (Shoreditch). …

Wow the rooms are tiny. Small pods in room with shower and toilet with basin in room itself, that's how small it is. However super comfy bed and good location. No tea or coffee facilities in the room so had to go to bar to get some and £7.50 for a coffee and some tea is daft, should be free for staying guests. Staff were great and v helpful.

It's clean, people are friendly, nice fairly quiet location and easily walkable to eating areas and tube stations. If you are a couple, know that the bed is up against the window wall so someone will be crawling over the other. …

This was advertised as a 4 star hotel on booking.com. Its not. It’s more like an easy hotel. 3 star. The room layout is terrible. I felt trapped. Windows don’t open. The sink is outside the washroom. No place to set the luggage. …

Great quirky modern hotel with fabulously helpful staff. Rooms small but well laid out. The only issues were getting past my partner in the middle of the night when a comfort break is needed, and trying to turn the lights on at the door. This opens the blinds. location is fabulous. Ipads are gimic.

**Such a Shame**The hotel is really nice, but the "air conditioning" is a joke. The room was hot and didn't cool down, even after maintenance checked it and confirmed it was "working properly." The coolest the room got was 22°C. If the AC had worked, this would have been a 5-star review from me.On the positive side, the hotel itself is nice, and the rooms, though somewhat box-like, come with a good TV. The breakfast options are great, with a nice variety and good coffee.

Loved my room and the character of this place. Food was excellent, check in easy. Two potential downsides, it is a bit of a walk, relatively speaking, from the sites or the Tube and the bed in my room had one exit instead of the typical two side exit. Not a big deal but it could be helpful for people or couples who like to exit from both sides of the bed. In room tech for lighting and blinds was very cool as well.

Strange concept for a hotel. The staff was wonderful, but the room? It felt like staying on the Star Ship Enterprise (Captain Kirk generation) in quarters of the lowest ranking crew member. Room is tiny, bathroom is weird. The shower and toilet are in some sort of pre-fab translucent plastic bubble that can be illuminated in various colors, probably impressive to a twelve year old. There is no room for luggage, and as many others have said, A/C is woefully inadequate. People who work there are great, but the rooms leave much to be desired.
