It's very cosy and well priced. I would thoroughly recommend them. They looked after me really well. I'm glad I chose them. It was nice, and convenient to be able to cook my meals in the general kitchen, whilst also having a microwave and fridge in my room.

Beautiful character full house in superb location being a short walk from the city centre. We had a great sized room which was spotlessly clean, comfortable and quiet. The large shared kitchen, utility room and warden were huge bonuses. Great value for money!

Super well equipped room that felt homely. Had everything I needed and the building staff checked in to see that I had settled in ok. Bed really comfy and bathroom really clean and modern. Great central location as I was accessing the town center and the university

We stayed for 3 nights here in one of the studio apartments. We were so pleased with the location, walking distance to everything we needed. The room has its own kitchenette with everything you need but the added bonus is access to a large, well appointed communal kitchen, laundry and a gorgeous outdoor area. It was a comfortable, warm room and clean. It is in need of a little painting . However the biggest asset is Elliot, the manager. Elliot took over the apartments and studios a couple of months ago and has made massive improvements and changes. Nothing was too much trouble for Elliot. He helped us with minor issues and was so available to assist us. He was just fabulous. We loved our stay here and would highly recommend it. Exeter is a wonderful city, here a perfect place to stay.

I stayed four nights in the Melbury Studio no. 9 in August 2024. Location is the key asset of Melbury. Everything is within 10 minutes walking distance – Cathedral, University, High Street, bus station and/or Exeter Central railway station. The Melbury Rooms and Studious are converted townhouses and used for Airbnb-type accommodation. The studio has-medium size area. I stayed alone, but my studio was large enough for two people. There was a small kitchenette and an equally small bathroom. The studio was cleaned upon arrival and the entry process easy (keys are in the box and you have to set the PIN). The Melbury studios face a park area and are very quiet in the night. I enjoyed large TV screen and fast WiFi. The staff was responsive when I had a question. Some minor drawbacks: several visitors complained about extremely hot water in the shower. True. Cold water was almost absent for some reasons. There is little space between converted houses and my studio lacked daylight. Overall price quality ratio, however was good (£303 = €362 for four nights). My experience was mostly positive and I would definitely book again.

We, as a couple absolutely loved our stay here at Melbury House. It's unique in the way it's facilities are like a top notch hotel but when you stay here weeks or months it feels like home. …

What a nice surprise when I stepped into the house. The inside is quite traditional with rooms decorated with interesting designs. We had two en-suite rooms adjacent to each other. …

I stayed here and it was filthy. Mold up the walls in the living room and bathroom. Snot wiped on the wall next to the bed. Ants crawling all over. Just caked on grime everywhere. One of the worst experiences I've had in hotels/Airbnb. The owner even lied on Airbnb after I left to try to save his own skin, what a scumbag
