We have stayed in similar hotels over several years, taking advantage of the 3 day Christmas package. I can honestly say that this was in almost all respects the most enjoyable stay so far. …

My wife and I booked a room at this beautiful and gorgeous House. Nothing disappointed us from the greeting at the door to showing us around the house. The room was beautiful, warm and cosy. …

Great B&B in close proximity to the town centre.|Lovely welcome by the house manager with a great run through of the honesty bar, 24hr coffee and room. Also did a great job of booking our dinner reservation. …

Having stayed several times at the hotel, we booked the Arden House on a blustery weekend in Stratford. Parking isn’t great (although you can in the hotel and it’s a 5 minute walk away). …

We have stayed here numerous times before under the old and new ownership . This was the worst room we have had. Small and hot even with the windows open. Cluttered even with two cabin bags. Bathroom unbelievable small. …

Stayed here for a birthday party weekend. What a gorgeous hotel right in the centre of the town. The food was fantastic. Everything was perfect but what made it exceptional were the staff, Christian, Emma and Alex. What a lucky hotel to have Alex! She is simply the best.

Simply superb! We attended a 60th birthday and were greeted by a beautiful interior tastefully decorated and nice sized room with a very comfortable double bed. Alex and her staff are exceptionally attentive and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Emma, the chef, provided us with 5 star cuisine which was incredibly well presented.I would recommend the Arden House hotel to anyone wishing to enjoy Stratford-Upon-Avon. You will not be disappointed.

I have stayed in a few places in Stratford, but I certainly think this is the best. Kim and his team run a great place to stay, and cannot do enough to make your stay perfect.  …

Arden House is an exceptionally clean and stylish 10 bedroom boutique hotel in an ideal location for visitors with dogs, situated directly opposite a nice park & within walking distance of all local amenities. Staff were helpful from the outset, carrying our bags upstairs upon arrival and cleaners who reset the rooms daily, were very friendly. It is worth noting that check in is at 2pm and check out at 11am, there is a small car park although guests are encouraged to travel by foot, bicycle or train to reduce emissions.Visitors with dogs can expect to find their own clean dog bed, food bowl, water bowl and feeding mat to use during their stay along with a toy which is a lovely, unexpected gesture.Breakfast at the hotel was fantastic. I enjoyed the eggs benedict, however, having booked on the basis that this is a dog friendly establishment we were disappointed to find that dogs were not allowed in any area of the dining room. Dogs were welcome in the lounge but having no seating area outside of coffee tables in this area makes it difficult for visitors with dogs to enjoy breakfast. At this stage we were told it is advisable to leave our dogs in our rooms whilst eating breakfast but this was not a suitable alternative and hotel policy is usually to not leave dogs alone in rooms. Thankfully a table was set in the lounge for us to use temporarily during our stay, but having only been dog friendly for a short period of time, the hotel should look to provide a permanent eating area for visitors with dogs or just reject the idea that this is a dog friendly hotel. With the rules as they are it would be advisable for the hotel to provide tea & coffee making facilities in each room for future guests visiting with dogs.Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our time in Stratford- enjoying lovely walks along the river Avon, discovering historical points of interest, browsing shops at our leisure and enjoying food & drink at a number of dog friendly pubs and bistros (I can recommend The Garrick, The Woodsman, The Dirty Duck, The Vintner, The White Swan, The Encore) and it may be helpful for the hotel to compile a list of dog friendly eateries for the convenience of guests visiting with dogs.
