We recently stayed at Drimsynie Hotel for a couple of nights and had a pleasant experience. The hotel and its rooms were clean and well decorated, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Our stay was comfortable, and we left feeling relaxed. Reception staff and housekeeping staff were friendly whenever we interacted with them. We were particularly impressed by the swimming facilities and the arcade area.‘The View’ restaurant looked promising inside, but we were very disappointed with the food, which we felt let the hotel experience down greatly. Food was cold, bland, and in some cases not as described on the menu. Based on our experience, we would strongly recommend exploring other dining options, as the other guests we spoke to shared this opinion of the restaurant. As we were leaving to go out on the first night, we had the pleasure of meeting Jordan, who was groundskeeping at the time. We ended up having a lovely conversation with him about things to do in the area. He was incredibly helpful, providing us with detailed information on local attractions and activities, and even gave us directions. His friendly attitude and eagerness to help made a huge difference, enhancing our trip and leaving us with a great impression of the hotel's staff. He is a credit to the hotel. Overall, a great stay!

We had dinner in the restaurant and the new manager did a fantastic job at making everyone feel welcome and ensuring that service is quick and friendly. I really think this place is only going to get better and better. The location is amazing too!

My sister and I stayed in a twin room in the main building this weekend with my dog Lexi. On arrival the staff were so friendly and Lexi even received a welcome pack. I hadn’t been to the resort for 9 years and I saw a big difference - it’s very modern now. The twin room we had, on the ground floor, was just lovely. The only thing I would say is that if you have a dog then maybe think about making an easy exit for them on to the grass, especially first thing in the morning! Our stay was 2 nights bed & breakfast with dinner in the 1st night. Breakfast both mornings was delicious and wholesome and dinner on the 1st night the same. I’m sorry I didn’t book for dinner on the 2nd night because we couldn’t get a table until 8.30pm so we went next door and got a pizza and a portion of chips which was delicious and hit the right spot. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - the room was spotless and extremely comfortable - and the staff were friendly and helpful - from reception, dining room and John at the bar. Thank you.

Location and hotel and rooms were fabulous. The staff didn't care, no disabled access room available but as it was a walk in shower I coped. However the exceedingly unpleasant female on reception literally put us in the further possible room from the reception desk and the front entrance... I am convinced this was a deliberate action on her part as well. The luminous yellow walls in the lift were painful on the eyes.I asked when breakfast started and was told as school is back between 9am and 10am.Totally useless to us as we were attending a conference located at Invarary castle meeting at 9am each day.I then asked if there was a shop and was informed that there was a Wee shop 5-0 minutes walk down the hill. the receptionist already knew I walked with sticks, literally laughed in my face and said it would be a very short drive then.We found out the pizza and curry place was only open on a weekend now as school was back.Given the price we paid this is totally unacceptable....We were out in the evening and came back around 10pm the reception was unmanned and in darkness, again we left around 7.30am and again no one n reception for any questions we had.The bathroom was lovelly, however no toiletries were provided, the holiday Inn and Premier in have dispensers in the shower.Should we have used the pool we would have been charged £3 the use of a towel, we were only informed this when we were 3 hours from home.Oh you also alhave to pay £5 per person per day to used a tatty, dark and quite frankly smelly gym with worse facilities than our local minicipal gym.No one answered the phone either. It appears that the new owners are only capable of running a holiday camp and not a supposedly 3 or 4 star hotel.Yours in disappointment and would not recommend this to anyone.

Rooms were not together, on different floors so my elderly father and child were separated. Bed skirt had dried vomit on it (also told reception). Ground floor rooms patio door lock broken, notified reception and was promised it would be fixed. Maintenance never came to fix it, returned to room to find it wide open (people can and did walk past with dogs, easily accessible to walk in) luckily nothing was stolen. To get to the swimming facilities you have to walk past some pool tables and its a tight squeeze when all the teenagers are there in the evening, pretty sure this was not ADA accessible for wheel chair users. Jacuzzi was broken, sauna was not working. Swimming pool changing rooms were filthy, attendant's at the pool did not stop a bunch of kids from 'bombing' in the pool (and the children were unattended by an adult) while we were trying to swim. Teenagers then were playing ball in the communal changing rooms. One of the toilets had no toilet paper in it and was filthy. loud guests playing soccer against the wall of my elderly father’s room until 2.00am. Air conditioning fan no instructions, was told we could have put ice in it to cool the air except there are no ice machines on the floor. Worst nights sleep for everyone and a terrible stay overall. Cannot believe I had to pay that much for such a terrible experience and now terrible customer service. We stayed as we thought the location looked amazing and bougt into the pictures online. We thought this would have been a decent hotel and more upscale than the holiday village but its not. Beautiful and picturesque on the outside, inside not so much. Highly disappointed

Booked to stay this week for 2 nights in superior suite at the hotel unfortunately the day before arriving a family emergency happened and we contacted booking. Com and the hotel to advise due to the circumstances we are needed at home. Booking.com advised that they contacted the hotel to waive the fee on Sunday as we are well seasoned travellers and never had we had to cancel or reschedule a break away.5 days later we have eventually heard from the hotel stating £100 is being deducted when they could have sold the room over multiple times and with the added stress at home this situation has made the entire experience worse. As a family getaway advertised the team are not clearly people friendly and the no response to constant contact from ourselves in a troubling time is unforgivable! I and my husband will certainly not be recommending this place and we are still awaiting confirmation they are returning the balance of the monies paid. The thought we might return or reschedule is definitely not happening now and both left still in the dark with shocking communication. Sometimes life gets in the way but a warning to all don’t book here if it’s compassion and communication you are seeking when an issue arises. We contacted hotel again this morning , let’s see when and if we get a response or refund?? I’m not holding out with much hope unfortunately.

Room was clean Upton arrival, stayed 2 nights in this hotel. Upon arriving I requested for 2 bottles of Prosecco to be left in the room but after checking it they were not there.I went to reception and then 20 min later they were taken to the room but no glasses brought with the Prosecco!!!Later that evening we went down to the view restaurant and had to wait over an hour for a table , on a Thursday evening, it didn’t even seem that busy. Which resulted in eating dinner after 9pm.Hotel is very in the middle of no where if your looking for a getaway on the other hand.Staff friendly.

This place is so good. With a little more attention, it could be exceptional!Location and facilities are amazing. You have about 6 miles of single track road to get there, but once you are it is so worth it. We stayed in the hotel and the room was stunning inside and lots of extras. The view from the room was to die for. Food was amazing, it is top quality ingredients being used and that is obvious. The not so good and what stops this being a 5 star review.Customer service - It is not there. When we arrived, there were a lot of families booking in, but there was only one person booking everyone in. He also did not know all the right times for checking out. It meant people were standing in a queue for so long. There were a lot of staff going about, but they were ignoring the guests and the queues. When we were in the restaurant, the staff would never look at you for fear of being asked to help. Heads were down and no eye contact made. It was so difficult to get their attention to get a drink, we ended up getting up ourselves and went to the bar and got two drinks!Communication is the other low point. The best example is that there are adverts over the complex about Afternoon Tea. We decided on the Saturday morning at breakfast that we would book it for the afternoon. We were then told you had to give them a minimum of 24 hours notice. That is detailed nowhere. If they had that on the signs, we could have booked in advance. This just seemed really poor. No real apology or attempt to appease us either which was a shame. We did have a really good time and as I said it is an amazing place. Up the comms and the customer service and it will be phenomenal!
