New management since last here. Vastly improved menu. Enjoyed our meal and drinks. Interesting starter (try the panzanelle, vegan starter, though I’m not vegan!) Tuscan stew hit the spot too. Will return! Also happy with the bill. 2 courses 2 drinks each and £60 total.

Great value and service. It was my son’s birthday and they gave him free drinks and pudding. Welcomed our dog as well. Also managed to watch the golf and the football on the television while we were here. Look forward to coming back and would recommend.

Absolutely fantastic and super welcoming. Love the bar and food selection. The General Manager is awesome and always cares about guests. It’s definitely the place to visit if youre around. The rooms are also awesome for such a close trip into St Andrews.

We wanted to host a get together the day after our wedding to catch up with all friends and family staying. |We visit Crail often so I had met with Gillian a few times. We maintained contact over email. …

Looking at the previous reviews, I am beginning to wonder if I stayed in a different hotel.  …

Brilliant location, excellent facilities and a warm welcome. We used the hotel as a meeting point socially for old friends and enjoyed many beers, darts and few games of pool. Highly recommended and will be back in the future.

We were only visiting Crail for 1 night in order to visit a dear friend. We couldn't have been more happy with the hotel, staff and our accommodations. Everyone was so polite and top of things. We immediately were greeted at the reception, checked in, and escorted to our rooms. The accommodations were wonderful and had everything we needed, and they were modern and updated as well. We had a wonderful dinner as well, followed by a morning breakfast that was amazing, which was included in our rate. Again, the service was top notch by everyone at the Balcomie. On top of that, if you're a golfer, it's a perfect location to the Links. And if you're not a golfer, it's close to center of historic Crail, and very short walk to the coastline path. Thank you again to all at the Balcomie Links Hotel.Mike, Adam and Chris

Such a lovely hotel with gorgeous views out to the ocean. We stayed here while at a wedding nearby and it was perfect, the rooms are lovely and we only had breakfast but it was really good. The restaurant is lovely too if you wanted an evening meal the menu looked great.

Unfortunately my recent dining experience at the Bal was no better than my previous one. I was with others, and although we all had different meals, the general feedback was that each meal was very bland. …

We stayed last night and ate in the restaurant, lovely room, comfy bed, good shower, loads of free parking, really friendly staff, manageress was really helpful. Can recommend the antipasti platter starter. Breakfast was good too. 5 mins walk onto the coastal path, which is beautiful.
