I stayed at a lovely apartment in Barnet while visiting a friend I hadn't seen in 10 years.I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the furnishings and equipment—there was a smart TV with Netflix and an espresso machine! It might just be the best accommodation I've found in all of Dunfermline. The entry system was a breeze with easy codes, and the place was peaceful and quiet. The plush bedding and incredibly comfortable mattress made it feel like home. The tasteful decor added to the charm. It was truly a wonderful treat

I stayed at Barnet House for three nights while my daughter participated in a dance competition, and I’m already planning to book again for next time! The fully equipped kitchen was a lifesaver for my youngest; we enjoyed hearty breakfasts before heading out for the day. The bed was incredibly comfortable and spacious enough for both me and my six-year-old. Plus, having Netflix was a delightful bonus! The Scottish Soaps toiletries and Nespresso pods added a lovely touch that made our stay even more enjoyable. The furniture was of high quality, and the building itself has been beautifully renovated. As we were leaving today, we saw electricians installing a mag lock for the front and second door—what a fantastic improvement!Thank you for hosting us! We’ll definitely be back and will be recommending Barnet House to our friends and family.

My partner and I had the pleasure of staying in Penthouse No. 9 for a few nights, and we were absolutely blown away! We were in town for a wedding, but honestly, we could have just as easily spent all our time soaking up the luxury of this place. The comfort? Simply unbeatable. The peace and quiet were just what we needed, and those views—wow! We could see the bridges, Edinburgh Castle, and Arthur's Seat right from our window. It felt like our own little slice of heaven. The bed? Let’s just say I’ve never slept better. The plush bedding made it nearly impossible to get up in the morning. There’s even an alarm clock on the bedside table—such a clever touch to help us resist the urge to check our phones! The living room was perfect for lounging, with a large, comfy sofa and a 55-inch smart TV. We took full advantage of the Netflix and Now TV options to catch up on House of the Dragon—pure bliss!Kamila, the lovely owner, really thought of everything. We were greeted with a kitchen stocked with goodies like oats, granola, milk, butter, bread, eggs, and even coffee pods for the Nespresso machine. Talk about hospitality! The location was ideal, too, with shops like M&S, cozy cafes, the cathedral, and Carnegie Library all just a short walk away. We truly felt like we’d discovered a hidden gem.The building itself is a beauty, a listed property that’s been renovated from top to bottom with such care. We’re already planning our next stay—this time, with the whole family in tow!

Location is very central. I arrived around midnight. The apartment temperature was 13 degrees. No way to turn the heating on. I had a very bad sleep, and in the morning I tried to have a hot shower and even if setting that to the hottest possible I just had slightly warm water. I sent a complain by mail and the reply was I can get a 15% discount on my next stay.

They cancelled my booking suddenly and there was no warranty, only refund. I thought this property provides the reasonable price even in high season of vacation but you MUST KNOW they can cancel your bookings.

We chose Barnet House because of its excellent location. Dunfermline is a nice town with a beautiful history and pretty parks and a beautiful concert hall, Carnegie Hall! Not far from Edinburgh only 25 minutes by car you can really relax in this place. The apartment is new, pretty and very clean, well equipped and fully furnished. It is located in a listed building where previously law offices were located. The owners have preserved as many original features as possible. I loved the old tiles on the stairs! Secure entrance, easy access, it is a quiet and very pleasant place. There is a supermarket a 5 minute walk away and the beautiful Pittencrieff Park literally two minutes up the road! Absolutely superb. We will recommend it to our friends and family and will definitely return on our next trip to Scotland!
