The flexibility of the hotel is the worst I have ever experienced in my life. I made an error in my booking and booked a night from Tuesday to Wednesday instead from Monday to Tuesday. I discovered this during check-in in Monday at 15:20 (official check-in is 15:00). I asked what are the options, i.e. if it's possible to shift my booking by one day to the front. This was denied with the reason that a room needs to be cancelled 24 hours prior they check-in day. The hotel insisted to pay the wrongly booked night for 126€ (the breakfast was taken off as a "gesture if good will") and offered me to book an additional night for 142€, since they have rooms available. This is from customer friendliness and service point of view a clear desaster. I would have even accepted a penalty of 20€ for the effort of late cancellation. Errors can happen everywhere, I admitted my error and the flexibility offered was zero. It looks more like a rip-off, since the guest in need needs to stay somewhere and this would have been a good opportunity for selling two rooms. I am sorry that I have to give my first bad review ever, but it's the truth.

The two stars is for the skiing facilities and a kind member of staff who filled a kettle with boiling water so I could have a cup of tea in the evening. The rest is not worth the money!!||The rooms are over priced.  …

I found the rooms slightly outdated but cozy, and I slept well. There should be a system in place for people who stay in the hotel to have coffee before 9am, because currently the only option is to buy the breakfast. Overall I felt good.

Great rooms and the best Hotel Gym I've ever seen. They should really hype the Gym up a bit more, only thing it's missing is a squat rack.

The room was very old and dirty. The room I was assigned was next to the chimney, which was very noisy. There was not even a kettle in the room. The only good thing was that it was close to the ski resort.

(The review is for the hotel and restaurant only. The skiing place is very nice)Pros : it is next to Snow world so handy if you wanna go skiing.Cons :- Very expensive for outdated poor room- Parking is mandatory (at least was for us for some reason) and extra. So on top of 260 for the room for 2 nights, 10e mandatory for the parking- Breakfast is almost 20e per person. Are we in The Ritz?- No coffee/tea in the room. You can however get one downstairs (if you can find a table and are willing to wait 1h, really, for it)- The hotel is separated from the main building and feels like an afterthought behind the buildingThe restaurant : simple the worst place I have ever been to. We ordered drink after 20min with no news we asked a waiter who said it was coming. After 30min we were told they are doing their best. After 45min someone started making the order but disappeared midway. So having already paid for it, after 50min we grabbed it from the counter and left with no glass.Which was not a bad thing as the ice is poured by hand by waiters and so is the lemon squished, after managing the till or cleaning tables.Stay away from this hotel, and drive 10min to come skiing.

Decided to stay in this hotel for 2 nights before Christmas. We received a room on the 4th floor, that was quite drafty and the wind was very noisy, as it is usually windy in the Netherlands during this period. When we checked into a hotel and went up to our room floor heating was turned off so it took a whole day for the room to get up to a normal temperature. The beds were very soft to the point you fall into them and the duvets too thick, I guess that may be the reason they don't leave the heating on for guests when they prepare the room... The breakfast buffet at the hotel was reasonably good and there was something for everyone. What spoiled the most of the staying experience was when I decided to rent out a locker for my snowboarding gear so I didn't have to take a snowboard to my room (which was prohibited by the hotel rules). These large lockers are usually rented to the guest of the hotel as smaller lockers are rented out to short term customers. Price of the large locker per day or night was 12.5 euros plus 30 euro deposit (which should be returned after the key is returned). I was explained this at the reception and was presented with a card terminal with overcharged amount that which totaled to 85e for two nights. I didn't give much of a thought about it and payed the sum even though it seemed quite steep for 2 nights including the deposit. I didn't want to hold out the large reception queue and was relying that the reception staff knew what they were doing. Later I calculated that I was charged the sum for deposit twice. When I went back to reception and explained that I was overcharged instead of simply hearing "Sorry sir, we made a honest mistake and we will return you the overcharged amount when you return the key of the locker" they tried to explain to me how I was charged correct amount for three days, because even though I was staying for two nights, they somehow rent out these hotel guest only lockers by days. Even if I had to pay three days for the locker I was still overcharged for 17,5 euros, which I tried to explain them (multiple persons at the reception) three times but they were dismissive about it. Which made me think they were quite rude, untrustworthy and lacking in elementary school math. They kept this level rudeness until the end of the visit, when the reception worker which made this payment was trying still to persuade me that they had charged the right amount. In the end I had to ask for a signed document that I will be returned the correct amount when I leave the hotel. At this point it wasn't about the money it was just the way how rude and dismissive was their behavior, trying to take me for a naive person which doesn't know simple math.At the end I received the full owed amount back (for two nights), but I just did not see any need for going through this kind of experience. It could have been skipped altogether.

Note that this review is for the Alpine Hotel only and not the SnowWorld skiing experience.Extremely negative customer service experience with this hotel. We had a reservation booked and the day before check-in, my partner fell very ill, so we tried to move our reservation to a different weekend. My initial request was made over 24 hours before check-in time. Despite the illness and the 24hr+ notice given, there was no flexibility in moving or canceling our reservation. The reason given was that the cancelation policy on Expedia is for 24hr before the "day" of check-in, starting at midnight on the day before, rather than 24hr before the "time" of check-in (15:00 in my case).Despite explaining the illness via email and phone and requesting flexibility, none was offered. Furthermore, I was not even requesting a refund (I hadn't even paid yet), I was initially simply requesting to move our reservation to a different weekend. Despite this, I was met with a lack of empathy and flexibility, and it was demanded that I pay for the full stay that we couldn't go to due to illness, even though my booking was through Expedia and nothing had been paid yet. I did pay what was requested (which was the full cost of a night's stay; no reduction or accomodations were given), and it left a very bad impression of this establishment and their customer service. Therefore, I recommend that anyone what wants to stay in Landgraaf for the skiing or anything else avoid this hotel. There is the Winselerhof hotel, also walking distance to SnowWorld, where you can go instead, which is much better reviewed.
