We had an excellent stay at Kitts camp during the summer. A beautiful secluded field nestled between two areas of woodland and in a wide open field with plenty of room for pitches across the site. The kids had a huge amount of space to run around plus the use of the swing, which they loved. The site is away from any roads so you can relax and let the kids roam free.We were greeted on arrival and shown to our assigned pitch but were given the option to move to a sunnier spot out of the shade of the trees, which we did. The toilets, showers and washup facilities are basic but clean, and provided everything we needed for our stay. If there was one improvement I would suggest it would be further toilets available as they did get busy at certain times, a very minor point on what was an excellent stay. This was our second stay at Kitts and we will definitely be back. Its a tranquil spot in an idyllic setting and feels much more open and spacious than some sites close by. The price was very reasonable too, again, compared to sites close by.

Lovely camp site. We visited for a school class camping trip and the kids had a blast. The amenities were nice and clean but they could probably do with increasing the capacity as the site wasn’t busy but we still had to wait to use the loo on occasions.Lovely location and we spent some quality time around a proper fire for which bags of firewood were delivered. You’re asked not to bring your own firewood and also to take your recycling away with you which is fair enough. All in all it was a memorable weekend and I’d happily visit again.

We had a lovely weekend at Kitts. Very spacious, lovely countryside and plenty of room for the kids to play. Short walk to a great local pub through the woods, and slightly longer to a brewery taproom next to Bluebell railway (which also serves excellent pizza!). James looked after us well and facilities were clean. We are regulars now!

We had a great multi-generational weekend with fantastic weather. Unfortunately no-one turned up to tell us where to camp until the day after we arrived. Facilities were clean but basic - 3 ladies' wash basins, one with a broken tap, and only one with hot water was insufficient for the number of visitors. It would be easy to attend to these. The situation of the site was excellent, with lots of safe space for children, and the fire pits were very welcome in the evenings.

Best family camp site we have been to in the last few years. I would recommend to family and friends. Nice clean and well laid out showers and toilets, rope swings and a pond for the kids to investigate. Tons of room to play, camp fires allowed. What more could you want?

We stayed on site in our van, the final wk end of August.Site was large and had fresh water, flushing toilets and hot showers. The location was brilliant for great food at the local pub, Bluebell Vineyard as well as teh Bluebell Railway.Ground was grassy and firm and site was spread over 3 fields, def a great family campsite surrounded by woodlands.

I would not go back to this camp site. It is tired and a bit shabby. The notices are falling apart, and there was no welcome Although we had booked, our name was not on the board so we rang up and got rather a curt response. Is this end of season apathy? Perhaps. The facilities function OK but really could do with a bit of an upgrade. £9 for a bag of logs is comparatively expensive, enough for two small fires only. Saturday night was noisy. Drum and bass from somewhere nearby, and a constant stream of air traffic in and out of Gatwick. However, access to woods, walks and pubs was excellent, and it is very sweet hearing the steam trains in the distance.

Agree with the previous review. We had a great weekend with our school group and loved the location of Kitts, the beautiful nature & surroundings - the kids particularly loved playing in the wooded areas and it was such a nice walk through woodland to the 360 Tap Room and Sloop Inn. However, we probably wouldn't return unless the facilities had an upgrade, esp. as this appears to be a major selling point on the website - in reality the showers were mostly cold & very weak and the toilets rarely flushed. Other thoughtful elements were also missing here, vs. other sites, e.g. no outdoor tables, lack of large or extra fire pits - the small wheel rim on offer was not big enough for us all to gather around. Logs & kindling also comparatively expensive.

Kitts is our favourite campsite. There’s plenty of space so you’re well away from others. James was very kind to allow us our favourite spot in the campsite. The facilities are always spotless. Love that it’s almost wild camping. Location is fantastic with woodland walks all around and you can hear owls and stags at nighttime. It’s about a 30 min walk to the Bluebell Railway and you can hear the trains choo-chooing which is lovely. Sheffield Park is a little further on. The Sloop Inn is less than 10mins walk and has great gourmet food. 360 Degrees Brewery is a 30 min walk, has their own beer, local wines and has a pizza van. Can’t wait to come back. Thanks guys!!

Wonderful stay at a lovely place, 100% recommend if you want somewhere peaceful and secluded. There aren't any facilities for caravans or power hook ups but that makes it less busy than some sites we've been to. The site is small enough for kids to be feral and explore!
