We like staying with Dennis because he treats us like guests and provides a relaxed environment close to the croquet club. It's a wonderful old building with character in a lovely location. …

My mother, 2 sisters and I stayed here over a weekend so we had a family room. The room was great just very old fashioned but quirky. Services of bath and shower were decent and in full use. Room were clean and comfortable! …

We had a great time staying at Blagdon's Manor. We were there for the brighton marathon weekend. Southwick train station was very close, about 5 minute walk away, with regular trains to Brighton which took about 13mins. …

My mother and sister and I stayed here at the weekend, and had two rooms. Blagdons Manor is on a nice, quiet street, lined with large houses and a beautiful magnolia tree. …

We like the relaxed atmosphere and kind and friendly owner. Very responsive to needs. We were having a nice experience until late night drunken revelers (guests) to the b and b initially woke up guest in room 1 and us in 11 by gathering around the piano singing and playing loudly 1.15 am. they thought it was funny rattling and turning all the door handle to all the other bedrooms leaving us very unsettled. My wife spoke to them personally and calmly aš owner or other staff do not live on site, we finally got to sleep at 3am after they went to sleep. This was very unsettling for all guest who were disturbed by their antics. the fact no staff availble, no locked front door, had to fix the TV myself to work, was asked did we really want mushrooms, no sausages available despite Co op literally being around the corner. Other guess asked for sausages but got no response.Wont go back their aš iš more like faulty TOWERS. on website said 60 and then charged 80 but cash?. Not the cleanest but needs lots of repairs doing.

This place is a 'must' if you are happy with a Quirky, "off beat" place to stay.||It is not a Hotel, "Travelodge" or "Premier Inn" style. It rests in it's own category; shades of Fawltey Towers! …

If you book the seafront Grand Brighton, expect Grand hotel standard. If you book this one, expect a friendly, basic guest-house at appropriate prices, super-friendly, helpful and entertaining owner/staff, and admittedly not the best showers I've had, but a very warm typical English atmosphere.

Was greeted by an old fellow who was munching on a sandwich whilst sort of casually talking to us. It took a moment to realise he wasn't someone whom was staying at the Hotel but the (what I assume is the owner/manager). That being said lovely quaint old place with a Victorian style and possibly in need of some Modernisation/Improvements.
