Visited for lunch with my mother and son on Saturday. Warm atmosphere and attentive service, fairly small menu selection but we all found something we wanted. I had the ham hock terrine to start, which was nice and accompanying picallilili was home made but too strong a taste for me. Mains really great and generous servings, particularly impressed with with rib eye steak and desserts were fantastic, also dog friendly! We'll be back!

Thoroughly enjoyed our meal here! The food tasted fresh, interesting flavour combinations, very kind staff and calm atmosphere. Very impressed by the vegetarian options (who knew cauliflower soup could be SO GOOD), the fish was perfectly cooked and presented, and the seasonal vegetables were a delicious medley of carrots, radishes, peas and courgettes. Look forward to visiting again!

Very friendly and considering it was busy they were attentive. We went for Sunday lunch, very pleasant setting, love the wooden beamed building. I had lamb which along with the trimmings was very good, my only disappointment was the lack of Yorkshire pudding.Dessert was fantastic, trio of chocolate (pictured) which I cannot recommend more!

Old historical pub , with a large garden area, we had the Sunday roast 'beef' lunch which was very good, our room for a one night stay, was less than the Superior "name tag" given, room was large but sparsely furnished, double bed and a writing table, no wardrobes, armchairs or any wall paintings. There was some internal decoration being done but not to a very good finish. The staff were attentive and friendly.

We travelled from London to visit The Swan Inn and it was well worth the journey. The staff were beyond welcoming and the food was delicious! We had the whitebait, duck liver parfait and hungry guest bread to start, the portions were very generous and every dish was really very tasty! For mains we had the aged steak burger, the wild boar ragu and the crispy fish, crayfish & prawn burger for main! The staff were attentive and helpful but not in our face! Could not recommend enough and definitely worth travelling to visit!Thank you!

Had not been here for a few years. Popped in on passing for a beer and a sandwich. Both were excellent. Slightly more expensive than normal pub grub but quality made up for it.It was a wet winter's day but the pub was warm and welcoming. Remember a previous midsummer visit and a sunny beer garden behind the pub.

Quite disappointing. It is a gastropub with a lovely fire place but the food is really not to their reputation, not was the service of one of the waitresses. We ordered kids burgers and they were short of small bread so we had a tiny burger with a large piece of bread which i had to cut for the children to make it manageable. The salad I ordered was just full of onions and rocket. Will stop somewhere else next time as it was really pricey altogether and unsatisfying.

We recently used the restaurant at the Swan to hold a wake. From the first moment I spoke to Fiona she was incredibly kind and understanding. We arrived to meet for lunch before the funeral and the staff were very accommodating and attentive. The Swan provided a beautiful buffet of open sandwiches and pastries. All of our food was very tasty, good portions and very well presented.A big thank you to the Swan for making a difficult situation the very best it could be.

A charming Olde English inn, serving good old-fashioned pub-grub with fresh local produce and a bit of flair. We had the roast beef and Yorkshire pudding, a selection of vegetables, perfect roast potatoes, superb cauliflower cheese and a bottle of wine, all taken in a charming, secluded, sunny and dog-friendly garden. The informal and relaxed atmosphere and very kind service at just the right level of attentiveness made this a very pleasant place to be. Well worth a visit.
