Came in for Friday lunch with a girlfriend. Lovely ambience. Comfortable and cosy. Food were delicious. Menu was good with a twist of Asian palette. Thank you to the chef for putting so much effort. I was not expecting that high standard. Staff was friendly and very accommodating. Will come again for sure.

Had lunch here on Sunday. Food was outstanding and the service excellent. Very nice pub in beautiful surroundings. 5 stars! The only thing was that I found the chairs really uncomfortable, but maybe that's intentional so that people don't stay too long.

An excellent place to stay and, in our case, to return to. Rooms have modern fittings all of which work as designed. Decent shelf to put down soap or sponge bag. Bed and mattress very comfortable and the pillows very soft. …

After a google search for "best pub with rooms in West Sussex", I'm delighted we we just stayed at The White Horse. The other reviews on Tripadvisor and elsewhere really do it justice.  …

My partner and I stayed at the White Horse back in May and it was such a delightful experience. The rooms were so cosy and comfortable and the food in the pub was top-tier. The staff were so friendly and helpful and assisted me in reserving a taxi to a nearby wedding venue. I’d highly recommend staying here if you’re in the area!

Genuinely the best day out you could have in the southeast, if you like walking in glorious countryside and genuinely fabulous food with subtly elegant service.First class, lovely people. Our fifth time and everyone we have brought here has fallen in love with the place.Lunch did cost £75 per person, but with three courses, lots of drinks and coffees. One of those big ticket items that still manages to feel like a great deal.Treat yourselves.Didn’t stay over, so don’t know what the rooms are like.(Use the word ‘five’ in your reply and I’ll change the rating. I just thought it might be useful to stick this positive review in your one star group, for all those people who check out the worst reviews first. I sometime do that too!)

The landlord of this establishment restored my faith in the kindness of strangers. Encountering numerous bicycle issues along the South Downs way meant, not only were we going miss our booking for dinner but we were going to miss the kitchen being open all together. After the third time we spoke on the phone, the worst happened again as I was hampered by another puncture 3 km's out from the pub. Upon not showing up in the expected timeframe, the landlord got in his car to come look for us, where he found us trudging along the country lane pushing our bikes in the pitch black dark. He couldn't fit us in his tiny car (Mini) but he kindly promised that he would get some burgers made for us and kept warm in the oven awaiting our arrival. He stuck to his word and it was the only thing keeping us going at that point. After feeding us, he also offered us a lift to our accommodation who's owner had been contacted by the landlord to inform her of our misadventures. What a genuinely lovely man. The pub and the food were exceptional to boot.

This restaurant within the White Horse Inn is tucked away in Sutton, England. It comes highly recommended with an extensive menu with Asian influences. The staff were delightful, attentive, warm and friendly. We enjoyed the whole experience. The food was generous and tasty. We commenced with the beetrot salad which the chef kindly split between us. The earthy sweetness of the beetroot paired with citrus flavours was an intelligent pairing. It was the dish of the day! Moving onto mains we shared the Asian platter for two, consisting of squid, chicken and pork with accompanying sauces. The tempura squid is some of the best we have tasted. The asian salad also popped! Unfortunately the satay chicken skewers and pork belly slices were a little dry, I suspect having been pre prepared for service. The chicken and prawn curry was tasty (without any real spice) and a nice way to complete the meal. We finished the evening with cheese platters which were enpointe. All in all a lovely evening with great wines to match. Would highly recommend it.

Just back fm an overnight at the White Horse with our border collie. It's a combination of stylish pub, stunning restaurant, and top of the range accommodation. We stayed in the Sea The Stars room, one of three dog-friendly suites. …
