We had Sunday lunch here, and got to say it was lovely! The Yorkshire puddings were huge and tasted great! Fair amount of meat and vegetables. Only thing we would have loved more gravy with it. Staff were good, didn't wait long for drinks or food. Very polite and did check we were happy with our food. Nice inside too if you just want drinks.

It is quite a basic hotel, nothing fancy but spotlessly clean, Very nice pub style food, attentive friendly staff and excellent location, right in the middle of Brecon. Bit disappointed that I couldn't get a drink at the bar at 10:25pm.

Large Marstons (Carlesberg) pub and hotel in centre of town. Only 1 ale on - Pedigree, which was far too cold so issue with cellar temp, flat/stale . Other pump was not on. I sat for 30 mins waiting for food , at a dirty table. Of the 10 tables in the back, 7 were dirty and not cleared and cleaned for the entirety of my meal. Poor. Where was the management? Where was the training? Granted there was a new bar man, but it wasn’t busy in the bar, so clearly training is an issue. I might have to resort to ā€˜spoons tomorrow! It then took 15 minutes to pay, as neither the new barman nor the more experienced staff knew how to process my shareholder voucher - I had to suggest an alternative. Personally, NEVER again. I will be lodging a formal review and complaint with Carlesberg Marstons . This may explain why the share price has fallen through the floor. Frankly there is nothing to recommend this business. This was Ā£7.99 starter, absolute disgrace. Shop pate, hidden under some pickled onion, with a slice of toast and some Branson pickle.

The restaurant in ground floor is terrible. I went to there nearly everyday but the employees forgot the orders more than 6 times. And today I went there and asked some orders, then the guy who also works there didn't confirm my foods. And I was waited for my food for like an hour so I visited the counter and he said the food will come soon. But it took 2 hours for dessert to come. But I also ordered tea so I waited for it. And at the end, I couldn't wait so I just asked him "where is my tea" and he said "I didn't put tea in to order" without apologizing or any. I wasted my time a lot today. The food and the place are good so I often visited here but these services are honestly terrible and I was so frustrated. The restaurant should respect the customers more and should write the orders on a paper or smth to do not forget them. So disappointed.

Pre booked a table, on arrival we stood at booking station waiting to be shown to our table, not one member of staff acknowledged we were there, we had to make a real effort to get someone to deal with us, drinks order was taken and arrived promptly, at which time food order was taken waitress returned as part of our order was unavailable, re ordered. Forty five minutes later ordered more drinks ,another ten minutes passed no drinks had arrived, requested drinks again and staff member said they would chase them up, ten more minutes nothing!! My wife approached the bar and spoke to who we presume was the manager who returned to say our meal order had not been sent through to the kitchen, so after nearly ninety minutes at our pre booked table only two drinks made it to our table, pathetic service

I had a good experience at the Wellington Hotel. The staff wa friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. We were on bicycles and they have a secure room for them. My room was clean and comfortable. The hotel's central location is convenient for bars and restaurants. The staff member this morning was r really helpful she seemed to be on her own and was working really hard, you don't want to lose a staff member like her. We will be back.šŸ‘

I've stayed here a few times, decent hotel with helpful staff. However I was devastated to discover no ginger nuts in the room. 😮

Just popped in for food…. Took quite a while… BUT when it did arrive, it was all okay. When’s there’s problems, it’s how the staff deal with these that matters - and they did rectify the problems. Thank you
