We had a very comfortable 2 nights at Borthwnog hall, and would not hesitate to return. We had the smaller of the 2 front rooms with balcony and wonderful views. Chicken sausage was really nice, as was the rest of the cooked breakfast, and smoked salmon. Lovely lounge, plenty of guide books ect. Thanks for lovely stay

Such a gorgeous property! We stayed in the family room. It was very handy to have a sink in each room. Beds were very comfy. Luxury bathroom with an amazing free standing bath. Breakfast was a highlight with so much variety and everything cooked to perfection. Location is amazing, felt in the middle of nature!

I loved Borthnwog Hall. It was so peaceful and the view of the estuary and hills from the balcony was enchanting. The hall is well maintained, the room was very clean and the aquarium was beautiful. …

All the reviews are from the previous time the Hall was open, they are not current and not relevant. We stayed three nights in April 24 and this is a current and true account. …

When we booked this hotel we was looking for something quiet and just out the way of everything. I cant write a review that would truly explain the beauty of this hotel and its gorgeous scenery. …

I can’t rate this idyllic place highly enough, the most beautiful location with stunning views of the Mawddach estuary, you can see from penmaenpool toll bridge and the George pub all the way down to Barmouth bridge.  …

The most beautiful B&B we’ve ever stayed in. The photos don’t do any justice at all.The moment you arrive in the driveway, up to the time you step inside, it gives you that warm, cosy feeling of being home away from home. The interior design is very tasteful and you can see that even up to the tiniest detail is well thought of. I read in the website that it used to be an art gallery. No wonder how beautiful it is!My husband and I stayed at the deluxe suite. The room was spacious, clean, with such a relaxing, breathtaking view from the window. The bed was huge and comfortable. I especially loved the bathroom design too.The location is also close to the town of both Dolgellau and Barmouth. They only serve breakfast, so make reservations for dinner ahead of time as most places are always fully booked. The breakfast was delicious. I just wished they serve it earlier, as it starts at 08:30. (But that’s just a personal preference of ours as we usually eat breakfast early, so we could also leave early to do long distance cycling). We had a wonderful stay. Thank you to the lovely staff who were welcoming and accommodating. We’ll definitely come back for sure.
