We stayed here for a joint 40th celebration and we weren't disappointed! Communication was easy and fast, from the moment we booked. We were greeted on arrival and shown around the property which was a really nice touch. The place itself is immaculately presented, bedrooms had a real luxury hotel feel to them, each with their own en suites, most of which were nearly as big as the bedrooms! The outside space was great too, a large patio with a huge table, a lounge area with a hot tub, which was all under cover, which was ideal because it meant we could still enjoy being outside together even when the weather wasn't great. Loads of fridges and freezers, perfect for our large group who brought lots of food and drink with us. The only niggle we found was that the Aga was quite difficult to use, as none of us had any experience using one, and it was the only working oven, so for a large group it did mean our meals took longer to cook. However, his was easily overcome by starting to cook earlier, in batches, and keeping things warm while other things were being cooked. The log fire was a real warm, homely touch, we really enjoyed cosying down in front of it of an evening, the lounge big enough to accommodate everyone. It really is an impressive property, immaculately clean and well presented, and big enough for large groups with large communal spaces with ample seating for everyone. We'd definitely return!

Great venue indoors or out, really homely feel and plenty of space for cooling your drinks! Myself and the dozen or so other people had a blast! Will definitely be booking again. We've stayed at a fair few lodges within a 90 minute drive of Manchester. This topped the lot! Excellent venue.

Beautiful guesthouse in the heart of north Wales run by a very nice couple. Arrived a little late for food but they still made me an amazing roast beef sandwich. Very nicely decorated, clear that they've put the effort into fitting it out. Really comfortable bed and spacious rooms and very good breakfast also! Maybe a small bit pricey (paid £95 for a Sunday night in April) but location was good for me and also I'd comment that I didn't do much research on local prices so stand to be corrected on this point.

I decided to stay here with my young daughter on the way to Anglesey.I made the booking with Pam late evening and arrived shortly after. The bar was busy on our arrival but Pam immediately came out and sorted us out really quickly and efficiently. She had even upgraded our room so my daughter could have more space. The room was amazing and really comfortable. We were last up in the morning but Pam cooked us a lovely breakfast and took the time to have a chat with us both. A fab place which I can thoroughly recommend. A real gem of a place.

The best service I have ever had. The staff are the most friendly and welcoming I have ever come across. They offered me free rides in their personal vehicles to town and the biking trails. After being completely soaked through and covered in grime, they cleaned my clothing without hesitation. The facility is remarkable and the location is great.

My husband and I had our wedding at the Grousemoor not so long ago, it was the first wedding they had done since the revamp and hadn't been open too long. We had been looking for the perfect venue for AGES! When we went to have a look around we were stunned at how gorgeous this place is. Pam has done a spectacular job, the rooms are so beautiful that they make you want to re-decorate your whole house to look like thier rooms. We really wanted a wedding where by we had exclusive use, people could stay over and have breakfast together in the morning without the thousands and thousands of pounds those type of venues cost, The Grousemoor was the perfect place to do this, reasonable prices (cheap compared to many other places with the same spec!), rooms, breakfast and nothing was too much to ask or organise on the day. We had afternoon tea for 17 people in the day and then about 50 evening guests with bowl food like curry in evening. The food was gorgeous, the cake's were amazing! They still have more rooms to finish (dog friendly rooms) and an outside court yard over looking the stunning rolling hills behind - the wedding pictures with this scenery behind are unreal!I could go on and on about how perfect this place was for us and our dream wedding! We can not wait to come stay for a night again.

It is hard for me to put into words how excellent our stay was at the Grousemoor. My family came from all over the world to celebrate my brothers wedding (which was held at the Grousemoor). Richard and Pamela (owners) and their friendly staff went above and beyond to not only make us feel at home, but to help host an incredible wedding for my brother and his now wife. Every morning we had an incredibly home cooked meal, and they also supplied the dinner at the wedding which was second to none. We also traveled with a one year old baby. We felt so safe and she felt very much at home. Without going on forever, I just want to say thank you so much for the hospitality, and if you have never paid them a visit I would absolutely recommend it.
