We stayed here for 1 night had evening meal and breakfast next day.The Griffin Inn has a real lovely vibe to it beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. The staff were friendly and service excellent. The food was delicious and breakfast tasty. The bedroom was clean and everything you needed, especially love the heated towel rail that's a luxury to have white fluffy warm towels. Will definitely be returning.Thank you to Sian and her team.Sam and Bill

My son and I stayed at the Griffin as part of our Offa's Dyke walk. After a long day of hiking the pub was a very welcome sight. We grabbed a drink while our room was prepared and I mightily enjoyed a local ale. …

First time visiting for Sunday lunch for an 18th birthday and there were 11 of us altogether. I thought the service was fantastic! I googled the menu ahead of arriving as I have vegan options and the wellington wasn’t available (I was worried there wouldn’t be any alternative) however I was not disappointed as staff came over to explain what they could do instead (which was a lovely touch; usually it’s that’s what’s available and that’s it in other places). They whipped me up a delicious mushroom delight with all the roast dinner trimmings! And I was in for a treat with the vegan tart for desert which was also delicious. The inn had a lovely atmosphere and we thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon. I can’t wait to return and try the vegan wellington! Who knew there was a gem down the road from us!

Looked after us after getting drenched while walking Offa's dyke trail. We came in to dry off and they got us seated really quickly and we had a warm drink quickly. Didn't complain about the state of us and were happy to let us leave the wet kit close by. Really nice atmosphere, gastro pub and the food was great too!
