Decided to come here for a meal after seeing some good reviews on tripadvisor, other people had posted pictures of the food and it looked good. However when our food came there was a lot of disappointment across the board. Specifically, with the seafood tagliatelle and beef brisket. One of the party had seen a nice picture of the beef brisket online which was the reason why it was ordered, however when it was put in front them it looked entirely different, the addition of warm pickled onions was also very strange? The seafood tagliatelle was by far the most disappointing meal that i've ever had anywhere. I am not exaggerating when i say that it was very literally just plain cooked tagliatelle pasta and small unseasoned pieces of seafood - there was no sauce, no garnish and no seasoning whatsoever... it was so disappointing, especially since it was £16. I could have cooked way better myself for much cheaper at home. In no right mind could anyone with any care and awareness would charge that much for something so underwhelming and tasteless. The service as well was also bare minimum, the staff were friendly but not once did they come back to check on us after they gave it to us, nor at any point did they asked if the food was alright when they came to collect our plates. They only asked us if we were finished and then put the desserts board on the table. I think some serious staff training, both FOH and BOH would be very beneficial to the business, and some much needed care and awareness to what you're actually serving to your guests would go a long way.

The bath room was tiny and over the bar which was really really noisy until after 1.30 in the morning . Carpet was badly stained. TV did not work. Rusty pipes in the bathroom and noisy cistern all night. Noisy from above room when someone walked across. Handy for ferry but would look elsewhere in future

Looked forward to going here based on others reviews, sadly it wasn't the experience we were expecting. Place is nice inside & staff were lovely. My husbands fish & chips looked great, however the seafood tagliatelle fell far short, whilst it had plenty of mussels, it had very little else & only 2 prawns. Interesting to hear the waitress say they've had that said before.....suggests improvement not a priority then? We wouldn't go again.

We never got further than the room which was awful. We left after 20 minutes!|Terrible mattress that squished to nothing and you could feel every spring. …

The location is very good just up from the railway station. I'm afraid that's the only good I have to say about our stay there. We stayed before taking the ferry to Rosslare. The room is in need of maintenance. The plastic laminate on the wardrobe door was falling off all it needed was some contact cement to repair it. The handle on the shower door was hanging off. The corners in the bathroom were dirty and needed a good scrub and repainting or grouting. We also went into the restaurant. Here the floor and the table were sticky. The food was mediocre at best and yet it was priced as if it was gourmet. They don't give a good impression of Wales at all.

Called in for a few beers. Good pint but expensive. Didn't eat, but the diners there seemed to wait a long time for food

Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately the bathroom only had 4 working lights out of eight and no hot water for the shower or sink. The blind in the room was broken and the top of the sheets stained. Fire door to the accommodation was wedged open in the morning and fire extinguishers not correctly labelled. In the evening we had a greek salad, with the only flavour of balsamic vinegar and fish and chips - batter was very thick and fatty, chips under cooked. In the morning we both went for the full veggie breakfast. Scrambled eggs were fine, poached egg, was more hard boiled than poached. Table tops were sticky and could probably do with a good clean. Again the staff were very friendly and accommodating.
