Even though the house is right in the middle of town, the rooms were quiet, bright and airy. Sheila welcomed us at the door and made us feel very much at home. She told us where we could have a good dinner, close by. The breakfast in the morning was excellent and it was accompanied with very friendly and interesting conversation.

Excellent b&b, lovely comfortable rooms, super friendly hosts! Talking to them over breakfast was like talking to your parents! Couldn't recommend this b&b high enough. If you in Carlisle, and need a place to stay, make it here, it's great!

Stayed here for 1 night walking west to east along Hadrian's Wall. Ideally located to rest and visit the city after the long 'slog' from Bowness on Solway. Not luxurious but met our every need and reasonable in terms of costs.

Good location in not to far to walk into Carlisle, Warm and friendly welcome received and a lovely breakfast with plenty of choice offered. Clean rooms and lovely on suite facilities with plenty of hot water and shower products.

We stayed here for 2 nights and will definitely return. A lovely warm and friendly couple run the guesthouse that is spotlessly clean, has everything you need and service an excellent traditional breakfast . Great value for money. Highly recommended

Such friendly hosts! Our room was warm, comfortable and I didn't want to get out of the shower. So many lovely extras like toiletries in the bathroom, chocolate with the tea, posh organic tea bags (no own brand dust!) and a convenient location near the centre of Carlisle.

Had a great one night stop over here, delicious smoked salmon and scrambled eggs for breakfast, very nicely decorated single bedroom with ensuite, tea and coffee making facilities in the room with a good choice of herbal teas! …

Very warm welcome as soon as you enter. The room was very clean and great shower. Nice soft beds make for a great nights sleep. No noise can be heard from the road. Breakfast was spot on. And the landlady knew I was catching the bus to work and got me a bus timetable! How thoughtful. 5-10 walk into town. Would recommend highly

I was recently asked to work at the Stanwix Theatre at The University of Cumbria for 5 weeks. Having never been to Carlisle before, I thought it wise to stay close to where I'd be on a day to day basis. I am so very glad I did! …
