Great place to stay in Windermere. Close to pubs and great walks. Dog friendly at a good price which was a huge plus. En-suite bathroom was lovely and shampoo/body wash provided was an added bonus. Will return if available next time we’re in the area.

Didn't make it clear on the website that you'd be sharing a toilet with another room, which was quite awkward in the mornings.Rooms are very basic (kettle and hairdryer there to use). There is a TV which isn't smart or even connected to an ariel which was a let down. Rooms were clean, perhaps a little dusty in places. The self service nature was a breeze as I was texted the code to both the main door and my room door on arrival.-also dog friendly-the room was nice and cool for how hot it was outsideAll said I would not book again for the reason that I'd prefer my own bathroom.

Location is great, very close to the Windermere station and tourist centre, like only 1 min walk. We stayed at the ground floor room and have to use the shared bathroom outside with the other room. Bathroom was small but clean and the shower is good. BUTTTTT, the room smell was really bad and disgusting. A very strong cigarette smoking smell was in the room when we self checked in. The window is locked so we couldn't open it to let the air through. Luckily there was a fan, so we open the door and turned the fan on, trying to get some fresh air in. It was better after a while, however, the bad smell was still there whenever you enter the room you can smell it. Also, the used towels was left and hung at the door, which did make us feel really bad. And there were spider webs at every corner of the room/ceiling. Cleaning could be better to be honest. There was no hair dryer in the room so make sure you know it before book it. Overall just okay. The cleaning has room for improvement. I don't think we will book it again...

Stayed at the hideaway in windermere. Really enjoyed our stay. Room was a bit small but everything was clean. Breakfast was really good with plenty of choice. You also got a cake to take away each day.  …

Filthy property and appalling service. The property clearly has no cleaning regime as everything was was thick with dust. Waste, hair, even nail clippings from previous guests, absolutely disgusting.Contacting the property management is very difficult and as mentioned in other reviews their response is very dismissive. After 3 weeks of chasing we are now set to receive a partial refund which means we paid £139 for a single night!! This place should be £40 a night maximum as it's no more than a glorified hostel.Their claim of soundproofing is nonsense as you can hear other guests and the boiler gargling through the night is horrendous, running the taps seemed to reduce the noise somewhat.Don't be fooled by the pictures, this is a very small place and there's a reason the showers are not shown, unsurprisingly they are also grim!

Pricey for the size but should not really complain because I got one of the last rooms in town for otherwise very busy days. Hot water of the shower had no pressure. Bathroom not suitable for oversize or overweight people - too small. Otherwise nicely decorated, clean. OK...
