Not the best place to stay ,very disappointed, it was cold and you could smell the damp ,ended up buying a plug in to mask the smell ,shower curtain mucky,lights on the wall taped up,leather couch dirty ,washing up brush dirty ,plug socket not fitted to the wall ,should really have a hand rail going down the path, dark and unsafe ,you really do need to spend some money to fetch this upto the standard people pay for.Thanks for the reply, we had no intention of raising these points during our stay as most of the issues would or could not have been rectified, but may I ask if you actually expected us to use the previously used slimey Jay cloth and dish washing sponge that someone had obviously left in the sink? The cream leather couch was/is grimey, the shower curtain was/is mouldy at the bottom, the house did smell of damp and the path with the pretty serious slope and high step really does need a hand rail and pir lighting in order that your guests do not slip and fall when wet and dark. You may well disagree but our comments are valid ones, we did take photographs of the shower curtain and a very dirty wet wipe after cleaning the couch, and of the electrical wiring to the spotlights above the microwave held together with tape to document our issues but unfortunately we seem unable to post them here, if you'd had a guest book we would have noted them in there but for some reason we couldn't find it but if you have a Facebook page we would be happy to post them there for your reference if you wish.

Spent a wonderful few days at the charming Ard Dearg chalet. Helpful, responsive hosts and comfortable, well equipped, reasonably priced accomodation. Fantastic view over Loch Portree. Just to sit and watch the weather change was mesmerising. The property has free parking, and is just two minutes walk from a lovely rocky beach. The Scorrybreac circular walk is also on the doorstep. With the centre of Portree only ten minutes walk away, this holiday let is the perfect base for your Skye adventure!
