Cosy, clean and well-equiped for a sound night's sleep for a very affordable price. Welcoming owners with good vibes. Even the dogs are lovely and polite. I feel safe and comfortable throughout the stay. Remember to book your breakfast before your stay! Would come back again whenever I need to come up to St Bee's. 👍🏼

If this, like mine, is your final night in a room before 12 days of tenting, you can't go wrong for the money.

We have stayed in Fairladies Barn room for a night with our little one. The experience was weird. The owner has been absolutely amazing, such a positive person and he was the one who made this experience nice! The room in other hand has been spacious, but just really dirty. It had plenary of dust, when we moved the bed to connect the beds together , the caper was not vacuumed. There were cracks in the wall, no iron and iron board. The general look was really outdated, it did look cheap. The bathroom was the toughest for us, as it had the dirty carpet in there. The shower had really low pressure. The tv was really old. Above our bed there was window which did not have any curtain/blind, so it was harder to sleep. The place has so much potential tho, if it would be renovated and refreshed. In the room you could find the fridge, microwave and kettle, so it can be useful if you stay for longer. The next day we came down for breakfast and the owner was so welcoming, the dining room has really unique and cozy feel. The fire place and a lot of “local miner” themed art work made it really interesting. The breakfast was nice. There was selection of cereals and full English. My partner really enjoyed his breakfast! Me as a vegetarian, it was really simple - just toast, beans, tomato and egg. Not too my standards, however the atmosphere, delicious coffee and positivity from owner side was infectious ☺️Additional benefits - There is private car park and we have passed hot tub ( so probably maybe during summers there is accessibility to it), plus nice garden space :)

Dirty and dated. The most uncomfortable bed I have ever (attempted) to sleep on. Avoid at all cost.
