We stayed at Dalriada for 3 nights in September and absolutely loved our time here. The Loft Room was stylishly appointed and very comfortable. We particularly liked having our own entrance and a small fridge (and the homemade treats left for us each day were a lovely touch). The breakfasts were fresh and fabulous with options a little different to the standard breakfast offerings in most places. The home made yoghurt and fresh fruit salads were the best we had anywhere and the view from the dining room was amazing. Robyn and Sally were such warm and welcoming hosts and full of great tips about what to see and do on Skye. Thanks to them we visited some places and did some hikes we hadn't heard of and they were some of our best memories of our time of Skye. We were able to walk into Portree for meals when the weather was good

Robin and Sally are wonderful hosts! Our room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was wonderful...particularly the "on the go" option if you are hiking for the day! We enjoyed all of the Isle of Skye attractions with a short drive! It is a great location, just outside the bustling tourist city of Portree. One small note, bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper. Highly recommend!

If I could, I would certainly give Dalriada more than 5 stars. I stayed there with my parents for my birthday and we had the most amazing time. Sally and Robin, the owners, are the most lovely and thoughtful people! On top of that, Robin knows all the best spots to visit and will point them to you, and Sally has the best baking skills. The rooms were comfortable and spacious, very clean and renovated, with lots of little treats that make you feel even cozier. I've never enjoyed myself this much outside of my own house, so thank you again, Sally and Robin, you guys are doing a wonderful job making people feel happy in the Isle of Skye.

Book this place. Its one of the best that we stayed in. This is a beautiful home in the country but only a few minutes drive to Portree or a 30 minute walk. You have full use of the living room and dining area if you want to eat take away food at home. The owners live upstairs so it’s just for the guests. The rooms include a fridge which is a rare find in guest homes. We were greeted with homemade banana loaf and cupcakes the next day. The homemade breakfast is 5 stars. Lots of choices. The highland cows and sheep are just around the corner from this home. The owners are lovely.

This Airbnb is very clean and cozy. The breakfast was delicious. The home is located just outside Portree and allows easy access to great sites like Old man of Storr and Kilt rock. We had room number 1 and it was perfect for what we needed. We also enjoyed the living room/dining area. It felt comfortable using that space and not just sitting in our room. We were lucky to have had the opportunity to visit with other guests in those spaces. The owners, Sally and Robin are delightful. They were very kind and informative. I wish we had planned more days at this location. 3 or 4 instead of 2 days. We won't forget this place and will tell everyone about it!

Dalriada House is a masterclass in service, care, and intention. 💛 Located just a mile outside of Portree, Sally and Robin have created a peaceful respite from the busy little tourist town. Our room was spotless and comfortable, and the breakfast each morning was exquisite. I won’t say much more because I want future guests to be as surprised by the beauty and perfection of the lodging and overall experience as we were. I loved every minute spent at the house—and hope everyone reading this will consider booking their stay at this location!

We had such a lovely stay, Sally and Robin truly are the best hosts. The breakfast was so delicious and rich. The rooms were big and cozy and Sally made us cake everyday with a little note, soo lovely! It is close to Portree and located good near the sights of Isle of Skye, for example maybe 15min from the Old Man of Storr. It is so quiet and peaceful and there was a cute cat walking around as well as some sheep nearby. Besides the rooms there is a big lounge, where the breakfast takes place. It can also be used for takeaway food in the evening, as there are plates and cutleries always available. We sat there one evening with other guests and played games, it is so cozy decorated with a little fireplace. Robin often asked us what our plans for the day were and how it went. He would give us some really helpful advice! There are always a variety of books about walks and hikes or what to see on Skye in the lounge. Thank you so much we really enjoyed staying with you!

Very friendly and pleasant hosts.We felt very comfortable and would recommend it to anyone who appreciates a great breakfast, friendly hosts, nice, clean rooms and a bit of peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle of tourists in Porttree. Everything at Dalriada Guest House was amazing. The breakfast was super tasty, the room very comfortable and very tidy. I got the loft room and got a pretty view on the fields. We got also some tasty snack like fresh baked banana bread and cup cakes. The owners are so lovely and made sure that we had not only a great stay in Dalriada Guest House itself but also in Isle of Skye with all the recommendation, tipps and support. If I would come back to Isle of Skye one day I would definitely stay here again. Thank you so much for everything.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at Dalriada Guest House. The location is excellent being close to hiking on the east and north of Skye but also close to Portree for meals. There is also a parking spot at the guest house, so there is no stress with trying to find a parking spot every day. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Sally and Robin were excellent hosts. They made us treats, packed breakfast on days when we wanted to start hiking early, and gave us great recommendations on other hikes while staying. They were very welcoming and kind. The rooms were comfortable and had everything we needed for a four night stay. We felt very at home while staying here.

We had a wonderful time staying at Dalriada Guest House while on the Isle of Skye. The location is just outside of Portree, but still within walking distance and lovely surroundings. The room itself was just what we needed and Sally and Robin were wonderful hosts, willing to help in whatever way they could. We really appreciated the breakfast takeaway they packed for our early departure, which kept us going throughout our long day of traveling. We recommend anyone traveling to Skye to book their stay at Dalriada.

I am completely overwhelmed by my admiration for Sally and Robin’s house; it was simply perfect! I absolutely loved my experience staying here. Sally and Robin were incredibly thoughtful, preparing all the necessary instructions for us before our arrival. The rooms were bright, clean, tidy, and quiet, with tasteful decor. The living and dining areas were extremely comfortable. I can’t find the words to express how wonderful it was; it was the best night of our Highland trip, simply perfect. Sally and Robin even prepared the breakfast menu in advance for us to choose from. The breakfast was abundant, healthy, and delicious. Robin was also very friendly, recommending a driving route through the Highlands that allowed us to see the most beautiful scenery. I loved this place so much and am already eagerly planning my second trip to the Highlands. I will definitely choose to stay here again!
